This place is great. Good food and friendly service. The server remembers me and my wife every time and knows exactly what we order every time. Support their small business!
Amazing fare! Amazing service & atmosphere!
Service could be better... Food was just alright.
The Torta Cubana is off the hook!!
Enjoyed very much. Black beans the best. Service excellent. Prices reasonable.
Went there for the first time yesterday and got the sampler platter. It was fantastic. I absolutely loved everything - steak, pork, shrimp - it was all great!
Great food & equally great service
From the outside I didn’t think it would be so well kept and nice inside. Great food . Very nice staff. Very professional and great food
Definitely pricey, like what everyone else has been saying. However, the lunch specials aren't bad, with most items under $9. I really enjoyed the empanadas, they had a very buttery crust with well seasoned stuffings. I was unimpressed with the Cuban sandwich, but liked the crispiness of the bread. I'll go back but probably will try some of the main dishes rather than the sandwiches.
Regret not coming here sooner. Great neighborhood BYOB spot. The ropa vieja was amazing. Get a bowl of Caldo Gallego also.

Food was excellent and for the area I thought the price was just right. I've never had fried yucca before and it turns out to be a great french fry replacement. I highly recommend the cubano sandwich with an iced coffee!
Excellent Cuban food. The best cafe con leche ever.
Delicious. The food was a perfect compliment to a long hot day, and absolutely wonderful. The hot sauce is homemade and compliments the meal. I would recommend this as a place to eat at if you're in town.
The worst food I've ever been served! Let alone Cuban food. And one of the most expensively priced Cuban food in Chicago. I absolutely don't get all the high ratings. I ordered ox tail stew. The ox tails were so tough, it was like peeing the husk off a coconut. The ox tails were not cooked (falling off the bone) long enough. I managed to rip a few pieces of meat but finally gave up. The fried plantains were hard. It seemed they were old and dried out before they were cooked. I had to push my fork forcefully to break off a bite, so I didn't bother tasting. The white rice seemed microwaved and had a strange airy texture and very moist, almost wet and cold at the bottom. The black beans were just okay. The congri (Cuban Rice) was bland. The service was polite, but then again, we were the only two people in the restaurant. Finally, I'm not sure if their overhead fan in the kitchen was not working, or they're trying save money, but when our food order was started, the smell of heated oil started rolling out of the kitchen. When my wife and I entered our car, we could smell the oil in our clothes. I usually don't write negative reviews for a small business, but this was an outrageous experience.
Great food friendly staff and no corkage fee. I highly recommend this place. It’s also very reasonably priced.
