We love this place--it's a fantastic place to take friends/family over the summer months because they have 1) the best patio, 2) the friendliest staff, and 3) great food and beer. The inside is also really cozy, so it's kind of perfect for staying warm during the winter, when the sun sets at 4pm and temperatures dip below freezing.

Hands down the best Brewery in Chicago, not only for their amazing beer, but the staff, service and tasting room are all top notch. The food is also really good quality. This has become a regular haunt!

Great beer selection. No smoked though... but the atmosphere and service is incredible!

Worst fish fry I ever had. $23 for 2 over fried cod fillets and a few small greasy potatoes. Beer was good though!

First time here. Beer was fantastic. Benthic on nitro was amazing! Cheese curds good. Spring rolls good. Had cod dinner and was not impressed at all. Weird texture that was almost airy and fell apart. Not flaky like normal. Would return for beer prob pass on food. Good service though and cool place.

I recently photographed a fall wedding here & it was an absolute blast! I really enjoyed working with Adia, the event manager. She helped everything run smoothly, has a great personality, & was so supportive to the couple & myself! I loved the way everything photographed & didn't run into any issues working here. We walked over to Winnemac Park for portraits and it was stunning! I'd highly recommend hosting your event at this venue. I'd love to work here again! :)

Popular brewery, they had a big screen with football on. Their food looks delicious, I had the bowl of gumbo and it was tasty. Several beers available on draughts and to go. Nice place to hang out

Love the space and the service was great!

Benthic on tap was awesome. Pickup for the box was easy. The service, however, left a lot to be desired.

I had a daisy cutter 10 or so years ago and decided to visit Half acre this past Friday on a day visit to Chicago. The beer was great with really solid west coast hoppy beers (XPAs FTW), great barrel aged stouts. The food was also fantastic, fried Korean chicken had perfect crunch/texture, great sauce and was perfectly cooked, and accompanying salad was fresh.

I think where Half Acre really set themselves apart from other breweries was the feel. This felt like a neighborhood bar, with families/locals coming in and out. My local highlight was having beers with FedEx Greg, a long time patron and lovable curmudgeon. Bar staff were great too, friendly and knowledgeable.

A good friend had a party in the back patio and Half Acre was the perfect location for a celebration. Great food, drinks and service! The party was a mix of adults and some kids during the daytime, so it was nice how the patio was family friendly.
