The waffles were amazing — light, fluffy, and freshly made to order. You can really taste how fresh they are
I always look forward to Hanabusa whenever I am visiting Chicago. Their staff is always warm and friendly. Their pancakes are always fresh and made after you order. They are light, airy and so fluffy. This time I tried their Original pancakes and Kyoto matcha latte. 10/10 definitely recommend.

This was the worst experience ever!! The customer service was terrible. They all seem undertrained. Also I found 2 pieces of hair on my pancakes which were wet and runny. They looked uncooked. Trust me, don’t waste your hard earned money here. You will be sadly disappointed

The pancakes were so fluffy and delicious!!!! I got the early gray flavor and it was pleasantly refreshing. I wish I had time to try more flavors

The manager here was very rude. Everyone else was pretty nice. Food was okay, crazy to pay that much for mostly air.

Great find. The souffle pancakes are light and fluffy. The fruit served with them was fresh. Good coffee. Worth a visit. We went early plenty of seats available, started to get crowded as we left.

Nice hidden gem in Chicago a friend recommended to me. The absolute best Japanese style soufflé pancakes I’ve had! Also the cappuccino was phenomenal as well especially on a cold Chicago day.

So incredibly tasty and the price is fair. The coffee is decent.
This food is not easy to make at home! One of my favorite brunch spots.

The negative reviews for this place are comical... You had to wait 30 minutes for your food? The place was small? lol.
The food is great, the souffle pancakes are delicious and the perfect level of gentle sweetness. The staff is nice and helpful.
The only thing I'd like to see would be a bit more fruit on the plates, it was about 2 strawberries and 8 blueberries. It'd go a long way to get a little bit more fruit.

This place can be busy and there might be waiting time to get a table and to get your food but the pancakes are worth the wait.

Fun pancakes but I don’t taste anything at all. A bit too pricey for what it offers.

Please keep your eye for this place or you might just walk past it and miss out !!!
Good food and great service ! This was my 1st time trying these but I've been wanting them for a while. They're most definitely not like traditional pancakes but worth the visit/travel. I only got the regular one but that's just the reason I need to go back. Extra fluffy, phat, and delicious ! More of an egg taste than I expected but... how they're made, its expected. The only downside I will say is that they only sell these ( that I saw but it would of been nice to have a egg variation to come with it/ scrambled or omelet... but I understand why they don't ), plus if I'm a little fatty ! So the initial order ( 3 ) wasn't enough for me.
Other than that I most definitely suggest hitting this place up. Take your kids, take your partner, take yourself, but don't take a coworker !!!
