Food was amazing, service was a bit strange… I loved the waiting snacks and water, so I didn’t mind waiting almost an hour or so for a table. However, after they pinged me that my table was ready, they completely ignored my party and I for a solid 5 minutes and talked to each other. Not sure if there was some employee drama going on, but they seemed a bit angry and didn’t explain how the ordering works for the soup and meats. Once we got a table no one came to check on us except to ask for the drink menu to give to another table. We had to flag a waiter down to get our check after waiting for about 20 minutes or so. Overall, disappointed with the service (could’ve been worse hence the three star review), but the food was amazing.

The staff are really friendly and always on top of things. The meat quality is good, even on the regular menu. I’ve tried both premium and non-premium sets—premium hits harder on flavor, but the regular is still solid. Today I had the spicy hot pot and the tomato broth. Super flavorful, the ingredients soaked up the broth really well. If you like bold flavors, you’d love it. I come here with my friends every week—literally part of my routine now. Always a good choice.

Definitely go with the premium menu, it is currrntly $36.99 and well worth it. Some of the best lamb I’ve ever had. The wagyu and ribeye were a close second. The buffet selection is huge too and the sauce bar is stocked frequently. Plenty of options even got vegetarians. You can choose up to three broths per table for $2.99 more. Definitely going back for my birthday.

This spot really fell short! 😩 The food selection was sparse (missing the house shrimp paste, the Lincoln Park location has this), the sauces were off-putting (the peanut sauce was hairline level left over and watery), and the staff were a bit too eager to kick us out – bringing the check while we were still mid-meal! 🙄 Some of the food was not cleanly prepared , like the mini octopus. The spicy marrow soup is bland. Definitely not the hot pot experience I hoped for. 👎

We came for my sisters 16th birthday (Nov 8) and some of our party never experienced hotpot. Now the food and the selections were excellent and abundant.
But the service was terrible. We came with two separate reservations because we wanted my sister/her guests to have their own table, and the adults their own. The gentleman convinced us they could serve us together. That was a trick to charge us a Gratuity. Then they put our table in the far back corner of the restaurant. We sat for at least 10 minutes before I had to go ask the staff when we can be helped. The entire dinner I had to go ask for someone to come help us with drink orders, refills, and more meat. There was not one moment where the staff came organically. I even had to ask the staff for the bill, I do not remember our servers name because he never was around anymore. This place wasn’t that packed nor was it big enough for this poor service. Then to see a 18% gratuity as if they truly did anything of good service. Shoot the entire experience is basically self served and cook except when they bring the meat. Personally I will not be returning to the Happy Lamb chain of hot pot this gave me a bitter taste in my mouth.
If you do go don’t expect efficient service, don’t go with more than 5 people, and don’t let them sit you in the back.

Make sure to add your name to the online waitlist, as this place gets very busy. We chose the basic all you can eat, and all the included meats were delicious. There were a plethora of vegetables and other toppings along with the classic sauce bar to customize your hot pot to your greatest desire. We enjoyed both the original and spicy marrow broth. This was a comforting meal as the weather begins to plummet!
