We had a nice dinner at Happy Lamb. We joined the wait-list on a Friday, and were seated about 35 mins later. Everything we ordered was fresh and cooked well in the broth. The portions are big, so its a good deal for AYCE. It gets really busy here. So it was a bit difficult to flag someone down to order more.

Went here for Valentine’s Day, before being seated we had to wait in the lobby and seen a roach crawling on the booth seats in the lobby. Me and my boyfriend were disgusted and disappointed as the food here has been amazing. However, knowing this place is probably infested I will never be coming back. :(The location on Clark street seems way better on the cleanliness side.

Yummy food, we arrived 1.5 hours before closing time on Super Bowl day, pretty packed. By the time it was 45 min before close they let us know the kitchen was closing and to pay and various waiters came by asking if we were done and unfortunately we didn’t like their attitude, all of them seemed to have snarky attitudes and gave me a look and walked away whenever I asked a question. Not to mention we’ve never been to a hot pot place they didn’t bother to explain anything or how it worked immediately asking us what we wanted to eat as soon as we sat down. I’m sure there’s a lot of other hot pot places out there with better service.

I am very happy when I am here. All you can eat plus the atmosphere is great. Food is delicious. I wish they had better ventilation. Expect to be hot since everyone is cooking at their tables.
I will try to leave a review as honest as I can be. I came to Happy Lamb several times already and that's because I have had generally great experiences with their food and service. However, today, because it was lunar new year, it was packed. Being mindful that the servers could be busy, my partner and I waited and waited and waited... Had to directly look someone in the eye to order. But you know what, this part, we could understand. What really frustrated us was that once the order was in, not only did they not bring the items we requested for (until we waited at least 15 minutes and at that point, we had to call one of the servers out), but also they kept bringing items that we did not ask for. This happened not just once, but twice; and interestingly, it seemed like other tables were having the same issue (but not realizing). We ordered prime aged lamb, tong ho, etc. (and we know what it looks like because we ordered it in our previous visits) and they kept giving us something else. If ingredients are out or something, restaurant needs to be transparent. This deception we noticed from Happy Lamb, we are absolutely disgusted. Also, I realize that this might be my bias, but also noticed that big groups were getting a lot of attentive service... In all, we recognize that these all could have been an honest mistake from the restaurant, but we also make these statements from not just one but multiple observations. We believe that a restaurant can have great food, but it's the service that makes one want to come again or never, so. I also highly recommend customers to make sure that the food you are receiving for all you can eat is exactly what you ordered, rather than assuming it's correct. Hope this helps.

We had high hopes for this place. Sadly the service was terrible. We came from another state to celebrate our sisters birthday here. We heard this place was amazing. The hostess seemed bothered by us when we checked in. Our waitress ignored our request for napkins 2 times the 3rd time she handed us 5 napkins for a party of 8. Throughout of dinner we asked multiple times for more utensils. Her only response was okay I’ll be back and never came back. We weren’t offered refills till we finished our dinner. If you’re looking for a great hot pot place with great customer service I’d recommend The X Pot Chicago.

We ordered non spicy and spicy broth, which lacked salt/pepper, along with lamb and beef. The meat was delicious, vegetables were fresh and crispy. Servings are generous! The area where eggrolls, sauces and kimchi is towards the back located against the wall and next to tables (in a tight space) especially when a line starts. The eggrolls were fried in large batches and were served cold but still tasty. The service was attentive providing extra utensils, napkins, refilling water as requested without having to wait.

Went here recently with 6 friends and they sat us in a booth. We survived. I was surprised we didn't order after our 1st order. Food is still good and restaurant is still in good shape, clean compared to other places where you can see s stains on the wall. Only downside was as we were leaving, they didn't have any cups for the soft serve ice cream

The food here never disappoints. Always fresh and delicious. The wait can be long depending on the day/time but always worth the wait. They also let you leave your name/number on a waitlist so you can walk around the nearby shops while you wait for your table.
