I was in Chicago for work and I ordered Harold's Chick Shack through Door dash and it was very disappointing. The wings were extremely dry and salty they tasted as if they tried to resale them from a previous day. I also ordered fish and it smelled so bad I was afraid that one bite would kill me, expensive lose. When I talked to my local colleagues they told me that I should have asked and they would have told me this ISN'T the spot for Soul food or Chicken for that matter. Cynthia-Atlanta

SKIP this Harold's. Wings were small, unseasoned and dark. They definitely need to change their oil. Batter on wings was peeling off. Fries were blah. Even the jalapeño was missing something.

All the fried chicken places don't marinade right and fry twice that causes flavor loss, and for some, the loss of flavor isn't that bad but this Harolds location isn't very tasty at all. Probably old and sitting out

Probably the absolute best harold's in the city.-the wings there are HUGE which is amazing.(others in the city give these tiny lil meatless wings trust me I've reviewed em)-the sauce is immaculate-the fries are big crinkle cut- the food is actually saltedNo eat in but carry it out and smash it's worth it.

The chicken wings were good and tasty, I haven't had Harold's chicken for some time but they still have the touch. I really have tried a full dinner hence the 4 stars but stay tune!
I went here for lunch a fews days ago. The chicken was fried so hard that it was in edible. I ordered a half mix and they gave me two thighs a leg and a wing. All of the food was terrible. I would rather eat a frozen COVID popsicle dip in dog poo than to ever eat here again. I would not recommend this place for anyone to ever eat at. My experience was terrible.

I normally only eat at certain Harold's Chicken, because the food varies widely from place to place. The chicken was fresh (not refried), taste was good on par with the better Harold's. The only bad thing is ....they are very slow, with an emphasis on SLOW. I guess the wait time is what you have to give up for the freshness. But, overall very good.

The food is good but expensive. I've been a couple of times and they are allowing customers to walk in with no masks. Also the employees aren't covering their noses with the masks just the mouth. One employee had hers completely pulled down. This is ridiculous and I'm reporting them to the board of health.
