You are an airport restaurant; you don't have to make your grilled cheese and fries so darn tasty..
..but I sure am glad you do!

Decent air fried food with decent price for an airport restaurant. Ordered wings, fish & chips and fried calamari and all tasted good. Don't expect gourmet food but definitely edible food at airport.

I paid with my corporate card and was going to leave a cash tip. After the transaction was made, the bartender started loudly saying to his customers in front of me, thank you for tipping and then his fellow worker asked him what happened and he said, again in a loud voice. If you don’t know how to tip don’t come to the bar… I hadn’t even finish my drink.

Dry and tasteless burger
We had a long layover at Midway and this was right by the gate we arrived at and we were hungry. I had the blackened tallgrass burger and my girlfriend had the fish and chips. My burger was cooked to perfection, thick and juicy. The fish and chips were excellent as well. Service was spot on, beers were ice cold and we really enjoyed our lunch. There are a few more places I wanted to try on that long layover, but I was already full ?

You need to ask for Bryan! He’s amazing! He brings a very optimistic upbringing vibe! I’ve been here a couple of times and he’s been the best so far. He’s very welcoming, down to earth and picks up on guest cues very easily and knows what’s best based on the guest requirements. I travel quite a bit and I hope I didn’t spell his name wrong, but my name is Michelle, the same as his sister’s, and there’s no way you can ever have a bad time with him there.

I don’t normally eat airport food, because it’s too expensive. But today was emotional and ling, so I indulged. I just wanted a glass of wine, but $23 for a 9 oz pour of hours red was too much. I ended up choosing a local hazy IPA- Maplewood, Son of a Juice ($12), and a burger recommended by the most personable server- Jaime- the Holy Cow ($19) . $42 with top. Sit in Jaime’s area- he is so kind and uplifting.

I could not possibly have had a better experience!!! Nicole, the host, is *perfect* for that job!! She is outgoing without being pushy, welcoming, clearly has an attitude of being of service, has an amazing voice that can easily be heard in the crowd without being too loud. She just has great energy!! As did everyone I interacted with there. My server, Stephanie, made some great recommendations for me, and said yes to every special thing I asked for!! She brought me three limes in my big glass of water; it was perfect for that amount of water!!! No one’s ever done that! She was patient with me and really seemed to share my enjoyment there! Both these women seemed like they brought their whole selves to work… not like their bodies were just playing a role. (Even the guy and maybe managerial clothes with the amazing hairstyle was a consummate professional, moving quickly and wishing every single person he delivered take-out to, a good day.) And the food? Best airport food I’ve ever had! Quick, too! The burger was thick and juicy the way ALL burgers should be! I ate the bun, and I never do. The kale caesar was perfect (and I’m SO impressed Stephanie was able to make a side size for me!!) and the sweet potato fries… I literally will do my best to route as many flights through Chicago as possible, just to come back here!!! Also, the environment was quiet, felt spacious for such a small place, and yet Nicole managed to seat groups of all sizes. I am impressed, and look forward to my next visit, with the hope of seeing Nicole and Stephanie again.

The holy cow burger was not good. The meat was not seasoned, at all. It was tough and dry, and worst of all, it was covered with the sweetest bbq sauce I’ve ever tasted, though it was supposed to be steak sauce. The worst part of the experience though was getting showered in spit from the guy in the kitchen who for some reason decided to stop by out table and spit into the air. I was totally disgusted. The server was nice.

Wings were not good. Mostly breading and the meat was low quality. Ordered a beer and was given the larger size even though didn't ask for it.

They give you a good beer...filled all the way up....if your flight is delayed...run there!
This food was unexpectedly very good! Like well above Midway’s mostly below average offerings.
Wheelchair accessibility: There’s seating for wheelchair guests at each end.
