Coleslaw was not good. Seafood platter had two pieces of shrimp. Food in general was meh. Service was fine, but expecting 20% just because it's a group of 8 gives no incentive to do a good job.
The waiter took our drink order after bringing out our food. Never brought us napkins or silverware, we had to hunt them down ourselves. Never asked if we wanted refills. The food came quickly, but I'm assuming it was because it had been sitting around for awhile. The onion rings were cold and soggy. The grilled chicken on my salad was extremely overdone. Won't go back.
The location can't be beat, and the drinks were decent. However, don't plan on getting great food... it is meh. Our calamari looked like it had been dumped out of a grocery store freezer bag and fried in very old, dirty oil. Being the appetizer, it just destroyed our expectations for the rest of the meal. If you are looking for a spot on the pier to enjoy a drink, sure. If you want a good meal, skip.
The place was good overall. It took them a while to get us our food but it was also packed so it made sense. This is a good place to go if you are seeking for a place to go before watching the navy pier fireworks
Food was blah. Touristy food, simple food. Bbq pulled pork Sandwich came out cold. We asked for onion rings and server brought fries. He went to get us onion rings and brought back 4 rings. Really?!?! The restaurant is really big and sitting outside with the view is great. It's a place I'd go once a here just for the view. Server was ok, didn't clear plates unless you asked, refills were slow. Again, more of a tourist spot which we were but everything was just “okay”. Price range $16-23 for entrees.
Harry Caray's Navy Pier is at a great location on Navy Pier. It makes for a great outdoor dining space where you can people watch to your hearts content. Unfortunately, the food doesn't quite match. I had the Mac 'N Cheese burger which disappointed. The burger itself was lacking flavor and everything meshes together without any distinct flavor elements. Also, the bacon and beef were both overcooked which sapped them of flavor.
Servers were efficient. However, the menu was a little limited for brunch so that was a little disappointing. We were seated fairly close to the music so it was quite loud. However, we were seated outside so it was beautiful to see the Lake while we ate.
As expected food ambience noise decor drinks seating time location price spot on, after lunch rush hour on a Monday after cinco de mayo and one baseball team played then other several hours later.
Very average experience. Was looking forward to coming. Hostess was very confused and it took a while to seat us deapite the restaurant being half full. Server took a long time to get drinks. Food came in 3 min and was just average. There are many other options at Navy Pier and wish we had chosen one of them instead.
Our last visit was near perfect.. this one? Wasn't. Food wasn't hot, sauces requested twice were not given, refills requested had to be asked for twice, barely checked on us.. Definitely a very different experience from our last visit, do hope it's better next time.

Service was absolutely the worst we've ever had and food was not good. Would never recommend. This was not only service issues with our server, but also two managers that we spoke with.
Service was nice and quick. I asked for a suggestion, they said, steak sandwich. The ingredients felt quality. However, the sandwich was extremely bland horseradish was the only bit of flavor provided. Good fries... but they're fries
The food was delicious. We had a beyond burger and Mac n cheese burger. The drinks were good but pricey. We're from out of town so we're surprised by the price of 4 Whiskey Sours with Jack when saw the bill. They were good and enjoyed the meal very much. Part of the experience and atmosphere. Food was delicious.
I just love this restaurant - the look and feel of it is classic Italian steakhouse with a baseball theme, the menu is almost perfect and the service is fast (even too fast?). The dining rooms are truly beautiful, with exposed brick and oozing history, and really set the tone for the meal. The menu, with its classical Italian steakhouse fare of steaks and pasta, has so many enticing offerings and the servers, in their white coats, have a perfect look to match the setting. The only reason that this is not a five star review is that the food is good, not great. If you want top steaks, then there are many other Chicago steakhouses that might be considered (Gibson's for example) - if you want top Italian, then there are also many excellent options (Volare nearby is a good one). The food is good, just not the reason one comes here.
We had excellent service and perfectly cooked food during our visit to Harry Caray's. This was one of the highlights of our first trip to Chicagoland. Don Carlos, our Ecuadorian server, and along with his male assistant waiter (name unknown), gave perfect, excellent service to the two of us as well as made us feel right at home. Five stars for every aspect of our experience! We highly recommend this establishment for its service, food quality, friendliness, and vacation/destination-type experience. Thank you!
