I’ve eaten Heffer BBQ since their residency in the Back of the Yards, and they always come through with amazing food. My personal favorite is the brisket crunchwrap, a majestic take on the item made famous by a certain chain that told us to run for the border and that a chihuahua wanted its food. Off the beaten path, in the middle of the south nowhere, hidden bbq joint with a solid beer garden, music and vibe. $15 gets you half a pound of brisket, sides are $6 as of this writing. There are also bbq sandwiches and stuff like that.
