Hellas Pastry Shop Reviews
Always loved their Greek pastries, they are the best, started going to them 60 yrs ago with my mom and dad. We were always going to Hellas for our parties baptisms and weddings. All our holiday needs were easily available for us. Unfortunately, we moved out to Poplar Grove, Illinois near Belvedere and have missed them greatly. Always love them and it brings a tears to my eyes, that they are still around. God bless them. My parents knew the owners personally.
If you want your whole day to be great get there early and get a piece of hot galetouboutiko....it makes your morning sing!!!!!
The melomakardna and koutiembedes are phenomenal💯
I just bought their tsoureki from Fresh Farms! It was the best store bought tsoureki (sweet bread) ever! will never buy it from anywhere else!

Hellas Pastry Shop is a small corner shop Greek bakery in Albany Park, known for its delectable almond cookies, particularly the white ones, as well as the most delicious baklava and sumptuous spinach pie. This mom-and-pop shop has been a local gem since 1969, serving truly amazing and authentic Greek pastries. The galaktoboureko and melomakarona are phenomenal, while the walnut cookies and custard pie are also crowd favorites. The spinach pie and baklava are outstanding and surprisingly affordable. The owner, Toula, is described as kind and sweet, providing helpful service from planning to packaging a variety of sweets for events. The interior is simple and unpretentious, but the love and soul poured into their craft shine through in every bite. A perfect place to start your morning or pick up something special for any occasion, the treats are delicious and the shop is welcoming to all. They use spirit flavoring instead of actual alcohol in their recipes, making it a great neighborhood spot with reasonable prices.
