We have zero Greek bakeries by house so to discover this gem in Lincoln Square was an absolute pleasure. I thought the rolled baklava was the cat's meow but the chocolate covered baklava was even better! My gosh I hope this place is around forever

Stopped in for sprinkle butter cookies, honey cookies, almond crescent cookies, and an eclair. The sprinkle butter cookies are delicious! The owners are friendly, and the prices are reasonable. I’ll definitely go back.

Fantastic bakery!
We recently received some cookies and spinach pies from this bakery from a friend and everything was so good that we went back the very next day to get even more.
We’ll definitely be coming back soon.

Very rude woman at the counter. She barks at you for what you want and then gives you attitude if you’re unsure about your options. The baklava was given to me ice cold like it had just come out of the fridge. So it’s not fresh nor crispy. Cookies were a bit better but the price point is not justified in my opinion. You can find way better Greek pastries in the city for the same or better price and WAY better customer service than I received. I wont be back.

What an amazing bakery! Such a hidden gem in Chicago! Greek family owned since 1970's... From the moment I walked in I was greeted by an amazing lady behind the counter. Very friendly and was very patient to explain what everything was in the display. She even gave us samples of some of the items. They were absolutely delicious! Small store front but full of amazing baked good that will keep you coming back for more. There is plenty of street parking. I was able to pull up right in the front. I do recommend heating up the spinach pies when you get home. I bought the spinach pie, custard pie, vegan cookies, and honey cookies. The vegan cookies were absolutely delicious! Not too sweet and pairs great with tea and coffee! 100% recommend!

if you’re passing by on lawrence you simply must stop by. the spinach pie is divine and only $6, the sweets are excellent, and the woman behind it all is a ray of sunshine. the printer paper sign in the window says it all: “come and try us once, you will be back!”

This mom-and-pop Greek bakery has been a local gem since 1969. They serve up some truly amazing and authentic Greek pastries. The spinach pie and baklava were both outstanding and surprisingly affordable. The interior is simple and unpretentious but the love and soul poured into their craft shine through in every bite. Places with this kind of uniquely nostalgic charm are quite rare to come by these days.
Always loved their Greek pastries, they are the best, started going to them 60 yrs ago with my mom and dad. We were always going to Hellas for our parties baptisms and weddings. All our holiday needs were easily available for us. Unfortunately, we moved out to Poplar Grove, Illinois near Belvedere and have missed them greatly. Always love them and it brings a tears to my eyes, that they are still around. God bless them. My parents knew the owners personally.
Please go here. Last of its kind. Owner behind the counter super kind. please please go here. We have to support places like this.
