Asked for a tip on self checkout. Awful.

Not at all surprised this place has 2.2 stars. Honestly, I’m shocked it’s not lower. I paid $20.33 for the worst grilled cheese I’ve ever had and a $7 ginger ale. I know hotel food runs high, but this was robbery with a smile.
The grilled cheese? Dry bread, no butter, bland cheese. I had to drown it in hot sauce just to trick myself into eating it. The menu photo? Absolute catfish. I felt scammed.
Service? Somehow worse than the food. I walked up to the counter and got blank stares while the staff carried on their conversation. Managers? They literally pointed me back to the same people who ignored me. And when I returned, the cashier’s first move wasn’t to take my order—it was to plop the tip jar in front of me. Before I even said a word.
Overall: unwelcoming, unprofessional, and just plain bad. Do yourself a favor and get a grilled cheese anywhere else.

Save your money and do not get a Starbucks drink from here. They do not know how to make it!

I only had coffee here but it was not pleasant. It tasted very burnt and bitter. The service was quick and the staff was kind. As this place is in the bottom of the Hilton hotel, it makes for convenience if staying at the Hilton, but not worth your money. The hotel lobby is very fancy, classy setting to drink a bad coffee drink.

Extremely overpriced. $15 for 2 water bottles out of the fridge. Get to the checkout counter and you are forced into a tip screen with no option for ‘no tip’. You are better off having uber deliver 3 cases of water for that cost.

Overpriced

Expensive and not good. Panini was terrible! Pineapple was the best of everything

I got a bottle of coke zero and a smart water. $16. The credit card machine doesn't even offer a no tip. I think the lowest amount was $2. For getting bottled drinks myself. Ridiculous.

Matcha latte was very good. Breakfast sandwiches were ok. Overall it was a convenient place to grab food to use our daily hotel credit.

Typical overpriced hotel snacks and drinks.
They have self served grab and go snacks from candy bars, soda, and water to salads and sandwiches and some fruit that looks questionable. They also had a place to order warm food and hot coffee, as well as some ice cream options.
I got two candies and it was about $10 total.

Worse coffee ship in Chicago. Wait staff rude. Teenagers could run it better.

Located inside The Hilton, Herb N' Kitchen offers a nice variety of items throughout the day. The Starbucks located inside is a plus in the mornings for sure, but the variety of food offerings make it a great place to stop in and grab something either packaged or fresh from the cases or counter. The fresh oatmeal in the morning was very good, as was the large slices of deep dish pizza offered in the evening. There is even a case offering alcohol, a gelato case and a microwave which hotel residents can use to heat up leftovers. One morning I came in looking for 4 bananas, but they hadn't put them out yet. The staff member was kind enough to retrieve them from the back for me, and only charged me for 3. This is a nice addition to the hotel, and though you will not find an extensive menu here, there are enough options when you're on the go.

The prices are far too high. It was almost impossible to check out without leaving a tip, although I simply ordered a cup of coffee.

Extremely overpriced and underwhelming options. There’s nothing I would personally want to eat here. The water bottles were $10 after taxes and after grabbing a few of them and some snacks it came out to a shocking amount of $90. An individual pack of M&M’s was $4 and 1 banana was $2.50 before tax. The desserts were low quality and so sugary I felt a bit uneasy after consuming. I suspect it wasn’t very fresh.

I don’t recommend the bagel sandwich at all. Burrito was pretty good however (wheat shell, doesn’t say that). Service was very good. Banana (single) is $2.50 which is absurd!!! Sodas are $6 for a single 20 oz bottle.
