Had an iced latte and it was okay, the employees were very pleasant. Not a lot of comfortable seating inside

Very affordable all day breakfast conveniently located by many forms of transportation on Division/Ashland/Milwaukee.

I paid $5 more for bacon on the side — I recommend you do too. I got an iced black sesame latte and it actually didn’t come with ice but it was chilled, which I liked! Not watered down at all.

Honestly didn’t care for the vibe inside — music was too loud and all of the furniture felt loose, uncomfortable and had no backrests. Nonetheless, I will be back for take out — especially for some syrnyky!

I came here recently and I really wanted the banana oat milk latte and they were sadly out of the banana. I was so bummed.

I wasn’t really in the mood for a strawberry matcha which was recommended to me so I decided on the black sesame latte. I love my drinks extra cold so I asked for extra ice - the guy making the drink seemed very confused about this request but said no problem. I got my drink and it only had like 2 ice cubes in it and when I asked for more ice he said there was a lot of ice already in there 😭 I had a few sips and ended up throwing it out. I just did not like it.

I really wanted to like this place but it was a miss for me so far unfortunately. For the price I would have expected better quality and more friendly service.

Was excited about something finally replacing intelligentsia. Unfortunately won’t be coming back here. Service was great (why I have 2 stars vs 1) but the food was just really not good. Ordered croissant breakfast sandwich and threw out the remainder after a few bites.

HEYDAY EATERY has the potential to become a great neighborhood breakfast spot. The food is fresh and genuinely good, and the coffee hits the mark—smooth, well-balanced, and exactly what you want to start the morning. The interior is also surprisingly charming, with interesting art pieces that give the space a creative, welcoming feel.

That said, the experience still feels a bit like a soft opening. The counter shelf with desserts and ready-made items like yogurt or parfaits was noticeably half empty, giving the impression that the kitchen and prep routines aren’t fully dialed in yet. Service was on the slower side as well, which reinforces the sense that the team is still getting into their rhythm.

When that Japanese man is on the espresso machine baby you will not have a better coffee drink in your LIFE!!! We have tried chai lattes from around the world and this is the best one we have ever had (but only if that guy is working)

4 stars because sometimes he’s not working and the quality falls off crazy style, everything just becomes milk. But if he is working you have to go in

The plates honestly look better than they taste. I tried the Benedict jar and the cheese pancakes but was a bit disappointed. It was like one was missing sweetness and the other saltiness. I also had a chai which was lukewarm. The service was really good as was the place, but the food flavor needs a bit more.

Sweet spot, with interesting yet simple menu. Scandinavian vibe. Kind staff. Only issue is not very comfortable seating/tables for dine-in.

Ordered delivery on Uber Eats, base heyday plate is pretty affordable at $12 and has very flavorful unique sides (labneh cream cheese, edemame, great poached eggs!). Tho protein addons are pricey $5 for 3-4 strips of bacon so without a 20% deal on Uber Eats definitely would’ve skipped that. Only critiques is the bacon was pretty undercooked and the bread could’ve used more toasting. I put both of those on the stove and they were DELISH!
