Dirty basement bar with bad food. The pizza reminded me of discount frozen pizza. The owners were rude an unaccomodating. There are much better options for pizza with better owners and a better ambiance. Surprised this place is still open.

Ownership made me feel uncomfortable. Food was subpar and the floors were sticky Name of the bar is fitting though. I feel like if I did something horrible and didn’t want to own up to it, I’d hideaway.

I love everything about this place. I love the food (buff chicken pizza is insanely good). I love trivia night, and I love all the staff. I love the creativity to make this bar a place to call home.

They hosted Beerio kart which encourage drunk driving. In no scenario is it appropriate. Their food was gross and their owner has several DUIs and domestic violence charges. My advice: don’t ever go here.

Meh overall. Lower rating because the owner has several DUIs and is trying to hosting Beerio kart. Not a good look

Dirty inside. Food was terrible. Got weird vibes from the owner.

Sub bar pizza. Even more sub or ownership. Suggest to close this place down. Much better pizza places in the city.

Food stinks and there is an outstanding warrant for Brett, one of the owners, for Killing Sophie Allen. Brett also has lost his license in the past for a DUI and has been accused of several hit and runs.

We popped in after a rec league soccer game. Ryan got us a great group table and provided absolutely unmatched service with a smile. The place has immaculate vibes and was just fantastic with lots of awesome tv's for maximum sports watching. It is an Indiana University bar which was awesome since I had multiple alums in my group including myself. Can't wait to sink the biz next time. The food was AWESOME. I split the stuffed breadsticks and the Lincoln pizza. Delicious. I'd take it over a lot of other pizza places in Chicago any day of the week. I can't wait to come back.

Hidden Gem. Amazing pizza with a nice environment.

Hideaway has become my go to bar in the city for all occasions. The breadsticks are incredible, and maybe even better than Kilroy's in Bloomington, IN. Drink deals are great along with all the bartenders I've met there. I've yet to have a bad experience here and I've been 10+ times at this point.

I will set the scene: I placed a grubhub order to pickup for about $85 worth of food. The pickup time kept getting pushed back but ultimately was still under an hour 20 so I was like ok that's cool that's not bad for grubhub on a Saturday evening. Then, finally it says it's ready! I get my lil butt down to the hideaway, but it's packed and I'm not sure who to go to in order to grab the food, I walk back outside of the entrance, which is down a set of stairs in a dark little covered area (it's hidden away get it?? Makes sense) and walk to the seating area to look at the app for details. On my way there, I happen to step on a manhole cover. No big deal, you'd think that's safe. Lol nope! It slipped right over and before I knew it I was ground-bound with half of my body hanging into a sewer. I scraped the hell out of my hips, leg and knees. This is extremely unsafe, ESPECIALLY at a bar where people are intoxicated (I was not). There was nothing around the manhole, no warning or attempt to secure the lid. Surely this is not the first time this has happened? I'm hobbling around today, all scraped up and swollen. And the kicker is, my boyfriend finally gets the attention of the bartender to find out THEY ARENT ACCEPTING GRUBHUB ORDERS ANYMORE! Literally just update with the company then, I wasted 90 minutes of my life waiting for nonexistent food just to get fricked up by a loose manhole cover. Picture of the manhole attached, I put a chair over it so hopefully a drunk person didn't fall all the way in that evening. I will be contacting the city about this because what the actual f*** man. I can't speak on the quality of the food so I'll give it 2 stars but what the actual hell man. Get it together:
