We've never heard of a Bloody Mary bar before, and we've never been to Highway House before, but everything was great today so we will be back.

I have been looking for a place to go to that had loaded Bloody Mary's for a while and stumbled across this place. My girlfriend and I decided to jump on the bike and travel an hour and a half to get there. Upon going in, we were greeted by Emily. Great smile and an even better personality. We sat on the patio, which was absolutely perfect. It had a really chill vibe to it. We ordered the Zummo Bloody Mary! Let me just say, WOW! This thing was 64oz of pure amazing! It was packed with all the fixings and tasted absolutely perfect. If you're looking for the best Bloody Mary around, in my opinion, this is the place. The bar/patio is dog friendly. I'm not a big dog person, but I don't really mind them either. It was nice to be asked if I was OK with dogs as they were going to sit a couple next to me that had one. It was appreciated, that's all. Anyway, great place, great food and amazing people working here. Definitely give this place a try and share a few laughs with Emily. I'm already counting down my return to try their Sunday brunch. Thanks again for a great Friday afternoon. Till next time....

I've been eating and drinking here for years, I've never had a bad experience. Lisa and her crew are great!
Kid-friendliness: Nobody's complaining about kids at this place, very family oriented.

The fries were limp and greasy. I ordered a Reuben. I'm not sure what was on it. There was something I think they thought was sauerkraut. Less than a tablespoon on the sandwich. The sauce was wrong. Skimpy on the questionable pickles. $4.50 for a very small portion of coleslaw. Other places where I get coleslaw from are 2 or 3 times more for less money. The corned beef was very mediocre

Excellent food and friendly service. The Burger is outstanding and the I also recommend the Pot Roast sandwich. We sit on the patio when the weather is nice.

Great place to enjoy a meal and a drink on a peaceful patio/deck under some trees. Food is good, and it is not too expensive, so my husband and I dine here pretty often.
Vegetarian options: At least 2 entrees, plus several fish options.
Parking: Parking on NW Highway, as well as on side streets.
Kid-friendliness: Deck allows kids to be noisy without bothering otjers.
Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp.

Searching for high rated restaurants, Highway House showed up with almost 500 fairly decent reviews.
The service was SLOW, I saw customers going inside for refills. This should have been my first sign.
The Captain Crunch Tenders sounded interesting, however the chicken texture felt like it was old chicken. Same for the wings, over greasy and off texture.
Too bad , I had high expectations.

This was one of the BEST lunches I’ve had in so long!! Nicole, you’re a rockstar! My family and I got stuck in Chicago, last week for a couple days due to weather and we were so thrilled we came across this quaint little spot. We were greeted promptly with waters and waters for the kids, which was much appreciated, but the service was absolutely exceptional. Nicole made us feel like we were at her home. You can tell she is so passionate about the food and she offered us great recommendations. We all come from the food industry and we love fresh food and fresh ingredients. The sliders were hands down BOMB! They take a lot of pride in their menu and it very much shows!! Kids were tired and restless, so Nicole and the owner (didn’t catch her name) brought out chocolate cakes to save the day!! Keep doing what yall are doing here and if you haven’t had the opportunity to check out this joint, put it on your to do list. Thanks again for making us feel at home so far away from home.
