I went there for lunch and other day for dinner. Great food and prices. They remodeled the place inside and looks much better. New seat on all booths. Hernard the host doing everything right and more. Definitely I will be back with friends

The outside looks awful (maybe the owner is trying to ruin it. Inside you will find a wonderfully attentive manager and good diner food

Hilltop is one of my favorite breakfast spots. My friend and I come here almost every time we wish to catch up on life, and we always get the best service from Hernen. Definitely recommend coming here for a relaxed, diner atmosphere with some tasty grub.

I absolutely love coming to Hilltop! The food is fantastic and just what you want from a diner. Their waitstaff (especially Hernan!) is fantastic and always kind. This is honestly my favorite restaurant in all of Chicago!

I asked for no cheese on my veggie skillet and I got extra cheese. Im allergic to dairy. I literally had to throw the whole entire plate in the trash. It was inedible. I couldn't even eat the edges because they had cheese as well. Its just one less step for the kitchen staff, but I guess there was no proper communication going on.

Worst food known to humanity. It’s supposed to be bland U.S. styled food and they can’t even pull that off. It should be sold to a restaurant that can do better, or maybe just give the property over to the neighboring Seventh Day Adventist church who could do something better.

It’s dead in here. Not a huge attraction for brunch. Pancakes were aight not BAD. Better than Denny’s or IHOP I thought.
Grilled cheese was okay. Not no cheesies.

A simple diner where you can grab a quick bite to eat. No outstanding cuisine but the price-performance ratio is good and the waitress was friendly.

Was really excited to try a new place for breakfast fare, but was disappointed. The meal was tasty, but both my 1st drink and the replacement they gave had a bug in them. So we were really hesitant to finish the meal due to unkempt storaging on their part.
