“Authentic Flavors and Warm Hospitality at Gorkha Kitchen

We had an absolutely delightful experience at Gorkha Kitchen in Chicago. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with genuine warmth by the owner, a lovely lady whose friendly nature set the tone for the entire meal.

We ordered the Chicken Kadhai, Chicken Noodles, Roti, and Masala Tea, and every single item exceeded our expectations. The Chicken Kadhai was bursting with rich spices and tender chicken, perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful, which came with a side of Rice. The Chicken Noodles were another standout—generously portioned, packed with vegetables, and just the right amount of heat. The Tandoori Roti was soft and fresh, ideal for scooping up the flavorful curry. And the Masala Tea? Comfort in a cup—aromatic, soothing, and the perfect end to a hearty meal.

One of the highlights was definitely the portion size—you get great value for your money. They take pride in both their food and their hospitality. The atmosphere was relaxed and cozy, made even better by the personal attention from the owner, who made sure we were well taken care of throughout.

We’ll definitely be returning to Gorkha Kitchen and recommending it to friends. If you’re looking for delicious Indo- Nepalese cuisine with a personal touch, this place is a must-visit.“

“Always has been and always will be the best Indian food in the city. Chicken Korma is to die for. The chicken is sooo tender and the sauce is creamy and delicious. Would always recommend dining in over delivery- prices are much cheaper and the service is fast“

“My husband and I had a lovely dinner here! We were surprised that it wasn't busy on a Friday night, but the place was immaculately clean, and we were greeted right away by the server. My husband is vegetarian, but I love meat. The chef was nice enough to divide the momo plate, so half of it was vegetarian and half of it was chicken momos. He even threw in an extra momo, so the numbers were even for us although it's usually served with 9 momos. The sauce for the momos was especially tasty, not made bland for "American" taste buds. We also ordered the hearty kwati & vegetarian thakali (which had several small cups to try). All of the dishes + the garlic naan were divine, & we waddled out of the restaurant happy and with leftovers. Most of the dishes were on the spicy side, which I appreciate. If you don't like spice, you might want to ask for a mild version of the dish. It's not a fancy restaurant, but everything was pleasant, and this is a great place to stop in for a meal!“
