Really tender chicken, thank you! Worst Biriyani I've ever had, and the same for the Madras and Tikka--no genuine flavors, not a pea or carrot (or anything!) in the Biriyani. Is it all from a powder mix. I mean, cmon! I knew it was going to be bad even before trying it. What was this! $100. Never again, but thanks for trying. Time to visit Devon Avenue.

Went here after seeing good google reviews but was very disappointed.
The Paneer Tikka Masala looked bad and the sauce was watery instead of creamy. Never seen such panner tikka masala ever.
The Nepali Thakali Thali was another big letdown. If you don’t know what a proper Thakali set is supposed to be like, please don’t claim it on the menu. It was way too basic and poor quality for the high price they were charging.
Other appetizers weren’t good either. This place really needs a better cook.

The goat curry was delicious. I asked them to make it extra spicy and it was hottt.

We stopped by Himalayan Sherpa Kitchen and honestly, it was amazing. The momo was super juicy and flavorful, exactly how it should be. I also had the chatpate, and it was just the right mix of spicy, tangy, and crunchy. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. The whole vibe of the place felt like a real Nepali store or local spot back home. Definitely coming back when I’m craving that authentic Nepali flavor!

A ten minute walk from Union Station, this Himalayan/Indian restaurant is a gem. Fantastic food at reasonable prices. No need to subject yourself to fast food or super expensive cuisine in this part of Chicago. I can't imagine a better middle option. The owner was very nice, the wait was very short, and the quality high. Check them out and you won't be let down.

What was once a staple of amazing and legit flavor has become a washed out sad ghost of itself. No heat, no flavor, the mats seemed canned. The sauces watered down and flat. It's just sad. The c'momo used to make me cry, now it is basically a sweet and sour sauce. It is offensive. Panda Express has more spice.
I do not get it

My wife and I visited this Nepali restaurant over the weekend and had a truly wonderful experience. We ordered Mo:Mo (dumplings), Samosa, Nepali Chai (tea), and Mango Lassi. Everything was delicious and served with warm hospitality.
The Mo:Mo was absolutely A1 — flavorful, juicy, and perfectly cooked. But what really stood out was their dipping sauce — hands down the best Mo:Mo dipping sauce I’ve ever had! The spice level was just right — flavorful but not overpowering, which I especially appreciate since I usually find Indian restaurant spices too intense.
The samosas were large, crisp, and packed with delicious filling — definitely a must-try! I highly recommend this place if you're craving authentic Nepali flavors. We’ll definitely be back again!

Absolutely loved our experience at this Nepali restaurant! We tried the thali, momo, and chowmein — and every single dish was bursting with authentic flavors.
The thali was beautifully balanced, with perfectly spiced curries, fresh achar, and fluffy rice. The momos were juicy and flavorful — easily some of the best we've had, with a delicious dipping sauce that brought it all together. The chowmein was packed with fresh veggies and had that perfect wok-tossed flavor that hits just right.
The staff were warm and welcoming, and the service was great. You can really taste the love and tradition in the food. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a genuine taste of Nepal. We’ll definitely be coming back! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Difficult for lactose intolerance.
All I can say its this place is a gem. I've never dined in but the food is on point every time. Tandoori chicken, biriyani, garlic naan are always my go to. Definitely check them out!

Momos are delicious! And very very nice staff
I was here for my birthday and had reserved table for 15. I was so amazed by the welcoming atmosphere of the owner and the people there. I was making my American friends try food for the first time and they absolutely loved it. They liked the momo, lamb curry, chicken korma so much. Loved all the foods and the service. Will highly recommend it to everyone. Also the owner was so nice he gave us free kheer as a sweet treat. Definitely will go back again.
I stopped by with my parents and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the vibe was lively, and the staff were incredibly friendly. A great spot for a relaxed and enjoyable meal.
I'll be the first to admit when I walked in and the place was rather empty. I got a bit nervous, but this food was amazing. I have no idea what I really even ate as a lot of the listed items where foods that I later had to look up. The restaurant was clean and the staff there was extremely friendly. The food was also prepared pretty fast.
