The 3rd party that takes the orders calls the restaurant to place the order for you but the restaurant doesn't answer the phone. I got there to pick up my order and there was no one there. I eventually knocked on the employee only door and someone finally came out. They said they never received my order. Meanwhile the phone was ringing constantly. I called the 3rd party I had ordered through on their website (Mealhi5) and they were very nice but said they'd been trying to call the restaurant but the restaurant refused to take the order. He processed my refund right away and said not to order from this restaurant anymore because THIS KEEPS HAPPENING. Totally unacceptable. This place used to be good but not anymore.

I don't know what happened but the chicken Tikka masala I ordered tonight, was bright orange/yellow and tasteless. The chicken seemed to have come from a different dish and tossed in whatever sauce this was. The rice was sticky, not light and fluffy. The garlic naan also was just plain naan maybe reheated with some minced garlic on top. I also have this weird smokey aftertaste in my mouth. Oh and the delivery was 30 mins late. Everything is just very unappetizing and the thought of it is making me a little nauseous.

This was the WORST Indian food I've ever had! I ordered keema (lamb) samosas, but they gave me chicken samosas - and since I had ordered delivery, I couldn't send them back. Beyond the fact that they weren't what I ordered, they were literally dripping in oil (see pic of oil in container). I also ordered lamb biryani, which was gross. The lamb itself tasted like curried lamb, and the rice had no flavor and was mushy - not like good biryani (that is super flavorful) and fluffy. Not to mention, I found pieces of chicken in the rice, which makes me think they used the rice from another dish and just added some curried lamb to it. Believe it or not, even the naan was bad! It was flavorless and tough, like it had been reheated instead of made fresh for me.

First time trying this place and won’t be back. Overall, abysmally small portions for the price and mediocre quality.Butter chicken and chicken biryani each were 16. The butter chicken was half the amount of any other place and mostly tasted like slightly spicy yogurt. The chicken Biryani was mushy, clumpy, mostly tasteless. The naan tastes like overcooked plain pizza dough. I think it might’ve been made 3 days ago then reheated in an oven.Seems to me like the owner has given up on the place. Interior is unappealing at best. It smells of cigs and all his take away menus on display must’ve gotten wet and dried together. The place looks disheveled and unorganized.My advice to the owner: get rid of half your menu items. The ones remaining, make sure they’re good. Clean up the place. Double the portion sizes. Try to get some economy of scale going.Good luck!

We were going to eat in, but really didn't like the atmosphere upon entering. Because of good reviews, we proceeded to order food to go. We thought the food was quite mediocre, and the dishes that had chicken had very little chicken. A couple of the dishes had a smoky flavor, something never experienced before. Out of the 5 dishes and naan we ordered, the only thing I really liked was the Dal Makhani. Sorry for the bad review. Maybe it was just a bad day for an otherwise good restaurant.
Recently, we ordered delivery from Himshikar. Although their prices are lower than other places, we found that the portion sizes were smaller than we expected.The palak paneer and madras gosht didn't quite meet my expectations. They certainly didn’t taste like the standard recipes I'm used to, which was a bit disappointing.On the other hand, their Nepalese dish, kukhura ko masu, had a decent flavor, although it leaned a bit on the sweet side for my taste. The kebab, however, was quite tasty.If I were to recommend Himshikar, I would advise sticking to the Nepalese cuisine and steering clear of the Indian dishes. For $90, we were expecting better food and more of it.

We catered for a baby shower from here, staff was extremely friendly and accommodated a large order in short notice. The food was tasty and the garlic naan was delicious! Would def cater from here again! I thought it was very reasonably priced for the quality and quantity! Food was ready at the time we asked for and packaged well, overall great experience.
