My bf and I went there around 7 PM on Friday night, and it was packed! For good reason, too! We ordered beef noodles, soy sauce noodles, chow mein, sautéed eggplants, scallion pancakes, and pepper/salt tofu. Everything was well-seasoned and tasted amazing. My favorites were the eggplants and scallion pancakes. The sautéed eggplants weren’t mushy or undercooked; they were just right, with a nice bite to them. The scallion pancake was crispy on the outside, soft, and had a nice chew on the inside. Our server was attentive, even though it was super busy! We will definitely come back again. It’s a great place for dinner.

I’m actually mad at the food quality. I can’t remember what we got but our dish was subpar. The chicken didn’t have the best texture. Soup dumplings leave much to be desired. Also ordered taro with boba and the boba was not soft. First experience chewing crunchy boba— not pleasant. Our server didn’t really check much on us but the support staff was good. We sat right away. The bathroom was dirty. There was dirty toilet paper all over the cleaning brush. I wouldn’t come back. MUCH better food in Chicago.

We ordered the soup pork dumplings and they were awesome, very yummy. We liked the shezuan chilli oil dumplings too, not as much as the soup pork dumplings. I had the lamb flat noodle soup bowl, which was good too, wish it had more flavor pop to it. My partner got chowmein which seemed very unseasoned and underwhelming. If we go back, we would probably predominantly order soup dumplings this time around!

Everything was below average. The beef chow mein noodles were very poor quality, there was very little beef, and the broccoli was all stalky. The pork soup dumplings were flavorless and the broth lacked purity. And all of the dumplings broke and spilled their broth immediately when attempting to remove them from their basket. The scallion pancakes were unique in that they were think and chewy. I really wish I had not spent my money here

I was really looking forward to the soup dumplings bc I have been sick and so I ordered carry out, but they didn’t hold up well at all. As soon as I tried to pick them up, most of them tore apart and all the soup leaked out. There was barely any broth left inside, which was really disappointing since that’s the best part of soup dumplings. I hope the restaurant can improve the quality and durability of the wrappers or how they do to go packaging so they don’t fall apart so easily.
