Takes entirely too long even when you call in a order you wait a half hour or longer. If a person has to wait that long then something is wrong with the process which should be assessed and addressed. I believe the last time I was there I waited over an hour for a call in order which was promised to be available at a certain time AND it was a near two hundred dollar order!

I came there and was told that the sandwich special were on pork I ask are you saying ham sandwich and she replied no pork sandwich only so I believe I was cheated out of my money I’ve been going there since I was a kid and they always had a special now I don’t know what happened I spent almost a hundred dollars for full price food on a Tuesday

My guy sent his brother there to get food because he’s a truck driver so he wouldn’t have been able to make it back in time to get it himself, so he picks it up from his brother not expecting it to be made wrong and couldn’t take it back because it was too late they were already closed, so his brother tried to take it back today and they gave him some bs ass excuse as to why they couldn’t, I wish I personally took pictures, ts looked horrible and dry with NOTHING on it! Idk who’s running the store today but poor service was definitely given!

This review hurts to write because this place is (was for me personally) a staple in the Morgan Park community. I'm 38 and grew up eating here and often here because my dad grew up eating here.
With that said; I can't figure out for the life of me how an establishment who's known for chopped steak sandwiches and hoagies; has such a hard time getting customers in and out of the door.
What they're making isn't fast food. However; the hour+ wait times are ridiculous. Especially when other restaurants making comparable dishes can get you in and out within 15 minutes tops.
The conditions in which you have to wait are deplorable as well. No heat. Limited seating. Standing room that packs like sardines very quickly. Not to mention a lack of adequate parking.
For those reasons; this is not a business that I can continue to patronize or recommend.
I love the subs but the wait is crazy. I don't go just because I just don't have an hour to waste on a sandwich. They could at least door dash 😭

This used to be one of my favorite places! The past few times I’ve gone the food just hasn’t been as good! I got a polish for the 1st time today and it wasn’t good at all! The fries were so hard as if they had been sitting and refried. I paid for cheese they forgot it. There were literally a million 😂grilled onions on the polish(should have just went to maxwells up the street).
I was not pleased at all! I typically get the sweet steak fries and sauce. Last visit I ordered 2 of each and the sauce was so watered down that the fries were soggy. Nevertheless I will try 1 more time so I pray that they get it together.

So disappointed, this place use to be amazing but my last 4 visits I received old hoagy bread, the sandwiches were really dry and the wait for a cold sandwhich is horrible.

This place is hit or miss. One day their hoagies are good, the next day they’re selling you a sandwich on a stale hoagy roll. The whole thing fell apart! Drowning a sandwich in oil doesn’t make the bread any less hard! And you knew it was stale when you sent it out! These ppl make too much money to produce a less than quality product to the buying public. It shows blatant disrespect to the customer; the very same ones that have been keeping them in business for decades. From now on, I’ll spend my money elsewhere. #DoBetter!

Update: I came from a long way to visit and had you had a note on the door or a website that tells ppl you are NOT OPEN, I would not have given this review. Far from a hater and definitely not mad.
