We called the restaurant and ordered a large sausage and cheese @5:30pm. That pie never arrived bc HRI gave DoorDash the wrong address. We called again. That pie arrived an hour later; but instead of a large sausage and cheese, we received a lukewarm cheese pizza. Never have I ever. Obviously, HRI can’t handle Friday nights.

I do not recommend ordering via Uber eats. They will throw anything in a box because they know your ability to get a refund or any sort of compensation through Uber eats is limited. I paid $57 for Dry, burnt cheese and sausage pizza it appears to be something that they cooked yesterday and just took out and gave to the Uber driver to deliver to me today. The crust is stale and the corners have the nerve to be burnt. This is really disheartening that they would Sell something like this I do not consider it edible and I will be calling the 800 number at Uber eats to attempt to get a refund. And even even though I used Uber eats I’m willing to drive the pizza back myself in order to return it because it is really disgusting that they would serve something of such , an in edible quality and low caliber. It is beggars pizza for me going forward unless I’m on the northside of chicago where the truly delicious pizza joints are.

Everything was amazing, from the food, and the service. I enjoyed everything. The restaurant is also clean. This location is a must go to. Try it out. It also lives up to the original location, the pizza recipe is exactly the same.

Yes, the garlic butter crust is still sooo yummy. Crust is so good, not as thick as it used to be many moons ago but still delicious. The HRI salad special was yummy as well. Plenty of toppings and and good flavor .

I placed an order for pickup at about 7:50 pm on 9/5/24 at the Beverly location in Chicago. My order was for a large sausage and cheese pizza and the 10 piece wing with bbq sauce on the side and blue cheese dressing. My bill came to about $46. Not a problem for me as I had a taste for Home Run Inn, one of Chicago’s favorite pizza spots (at least it was when I was growing up). When I went to pick up my pizza the young lady, I believe her name was Amari S, was very kind showing me my order and asking me how everything looked. I was ok with the look of my order and had no complaints even though it appeared that the pizza only had about 16 pieces of sausage on the entire pizza. When I got home and tried the wings they were basic and edible but really nothing to brag about. When I opened the pizza, everyone in the household grabbed a piece. As I picked up my piece, I noticed that the sauce was extremely skimpy to nonexistent, but I still gave it a try. When I finally bit into one of the family style cut slices, the pizza was beyond dry and I nearly went into a hypertensive coma from all of the salt (seasoning) on the pizza. I asked other household members and they also agreed that the pizza was mad salty. Whoever the cook was on that evening was clearly light on the sausage and sauce and HEAVY on the seasonings. Needless to say, no one else wanted any more (not even the dog) and it ended up in the trash. In this situation I changed my mind on where to order from due to me having the desire to have the HRI that I grew up on and loved. Unfortunately, the experience I got was not the experience that I desired. I was very disappointed and regret ordering from this establishment and will more than likely keep my future business with Beggars Pizza.

Visited here on a Saturday night. They had a couple of large groups with small kids having birthday parties. It was very noisy, and kids ran around and crawled on the floor. I can't remember the bartenders name, but she made some good drinks ?.

The waitress had to be asked several times to bring things to the table. I don't know if she was new or nervous. I have been to this location before and had a way better experience.

My family and I went to the western location and we received the worst service ever. We arrived @2:10pm to dine in, but was told no servers or bartenders were available. We were then told we could be seated and our order would be delivered to the table. There was a bartender setting up for the bar fixing drinks for her friend but never addressed us. The server came in and also never came to see if we needed anything. Do yourself a favor and go to the location on 35th you’ll receive much better service.

me and my wheel chair bound son our first time in which we was thrilled but got disappointed because the waiter I don't ever remember his name but he was semi rude when he seen a party come in he started running for them i guess believing he was going to get a huge tip i had to keep calling him over to help us in which was sad but that party of people he was spot on anyways the parmesan fries was ok but wasnt worth $10 at all the pizza was good but the tiny cupcakes @$ 3.50 was another disappointment and I was not required to give that waiter a tip especially after I heard him mimicking me as I said these baby cupcakes to another employee but me having a kind heart gave him a $10 cash tip even though we was neglected for a party of other people next time I'll just get me and my son a frozen pizza and put it in the oven and my son even heard him mimicking me so i dont think i will visit again im sadden i pray that the waiter got a huge tip from that party of people ?? people come in for a good dinning experience not to be neglected because a waiter is looking for a huge tip dont forget us little people especially disabled people you lose money that way smh
