We had high hopes for this place...we really did, but was sorely DISAPPOINTED! After seeing a post by Foxcito on social media, we decided to try. Got home, unwrapped the ribs, looked good but lifted them up... *fries underneath, TOTALLY SOAKED and swimming in bbq sauce. *sides: baked beans, (lukewarm), tasted like they just opened a can of Walmart Great Value baked beans. *Coleslaw, no flavor *potato salad, ok And the star of the show...THE RIBS. We ordered a full slab. Not meaty at all, it like they cut off some of the meat maybe to sell and use it for tips or something else. Somewhat tough but hands down Very dry and tasted like old reheated ribs soaked in an enormous amount of bbq sauce to cover the dryness. Not even hot, just like the baked beans. I was upset cause we did have high hopes for this place. After we both ate 2 bones, we had threw away our WHOLE MEAL in the trash! $50 wasted.😔

Call ahead to inquire about menu. Im not big on links and I wanted to substitute link for wing. No substitution. So I order ahead. Wanted perch no perch only catfish. They only sell catfish with bones. So I order two small combos and 8 wings spending 60.00 when get there I see a sign on window for special of small tips with 4 wings for 18.00 I could have ordered that if I was informed when I called and save some money and not have to throw away 2 links . Disappointed. I informed the guy at window and he just said you talk to me. Im sorry I got you next time. No I don't think so because I'm not going back. Wasn't even all that and that whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth.

This place is small, priced okay, Togo only, hot and fresh and quick service. You are in and out. I love ❤️ the family owned restaurant. I enjoyed the fish but of course there is barbeque, sausage, listed sides on the menu prepared hot and fresh and a daily deal. This family owned place is wonderful.

My mom orders from here all the time and we get delivery to the hundreds!! Food is always fresh and hot!! Never old or have sat cheap meat taste!! Sauce is good!! I like the actual taste of their bbq really smoky and inviting!! My mom complains everytime bcuz she don’t want her hotlinks cut up but I tell her yea and every time u order u forgot to ask if they can not cup ya link up!!in her mind somebody probably ate one piece but that’s the big back in us !! Im laughing bcuz if u ate in the area and on the fence !!! Give them a try it’s real bbq no boiling or ovens!!remind me of dat family reunion bbq when everybody hiding da drinks so the favorite uncle can cook the first round of meats before he get too drunk..dat part
My food was very, very good. Actually my food was delicious. Ok y’all getting 10 Don’t be afraid to put a little salt on it that would take it through the roof. This taste like actual barbecue not the confetti ovens but real smoky barbecue thanks guys for my beautiful Sunday. It made my day.

This place has been on my restaurant list for a min. Guy at window was polite. Food came fast and it was delicious 🤤. Cooked to perfection I got the slab ribs fries coleslaw with extra sauce. I didn’t even need extra sauce. The sauce is AMAZING. Stop reading and just order! My new favorite rib spot…

I have been cutting back on having meat in my diet, but Honey Boy's bbq was just calling me with the aroma floating in the air. I was at the Rockford City Market and wanted the experience . The smoked bbq ribs were delicious along with the sides, Mac & cheese & potato salad. You got to do yourself a favor and check out Honey Boy's BBQ at the Rockford City Market on Fridays 4;30-8:30 pm.

I just want to thank the owner cashier and grill masters at Honey1 BBQ for consistently providing excellent customer service and delicious quality bbq. I don't eat bbq often but when I do have a craving for it I can count on you all to satisfy my craving. I share a link and tip combo with extra sauce on the side with my son and he's a picky eater but he likes this! The gentleman in the back take pride in delivering good food and it shows and doesn't go unnoticed. I don't go anywhere else for bbq in Chicago. 🙏🏽
