I have been cutting back on having meat in my diet, but Honey Boy's bbq was just calling me with the aroma floating in the air. I was at the Rockford City Market and wanted the experience . The smoked bbq ribs were delicious along with the sides, Mac & cheese & potato salad. You got to do yourself a favor and check out Honey Boy's BBQ at the Rockford City Market on Fridays 4;30-8:30 pm.

I just want to thank the owner cashier and grill masters at Honey1 BBQ for consistently providing excellent customer service and delicious quality bbq. I don't eat bbq often but when I do have a craving for it I can count on you all to satisfy my craving. I share a link and tip combo with extra sauce on the side with my son and he's a picky eater but he likes this! The gentleman in the back take pride in delivering good food and it shows and doesn't go unnoticed. I don't go anywhere else for bbq in Chicago. 🙏🏽

I brought the tip/link combo. Not enough sauce. Over priced. Ribs not tender enough. They leave the skin on the ribs. They don't know how to cut rib tips! The links are hard and don't taste good.

Stopped here for lunch , placed my order ahead of time , got there before the app even said it was ready and it definitely was ready and delicious! If you’re in the neighborhood, I recommend stopping by . The gentleman up front was great, he didn’t wait a minute to ask what I needed when I walked in the door , fast service I’ll say , good price , great flavor .
I ordered an order, and it wasn't right immediately. The owner, CJ, or Nick got it right. This is the kind of service I would like to continue in the black community. Thank you, Carol. NOW the new order was mid not great, but I respect him as a business to try to make things right.

I tried this place twice and do not recommend. My first time I ordered small Rib tips and they were too tough to chew, so I threw them away.
The 2nd time I asked the cashier, "How's the catfish?" He said, "The catfish is good!" I ordered the 3 piece catfish meal. Once I got back to work and opened my food, there's no fork (I had one, so I wasn't pressed about it). My first bite, I started choking. The catfish is full of bones! I called and spoke to the same man that took my order, and he said we'll they're catfish STEAKS, soooo. I said, so there's nothing you can do about this to make this right? I've just basically lost my money again? He said, well the majority of people that come in know to ask about the bones 🙄 I explained that other places I've been to don't have bones (IT'S, Sharks, etc) so why would I think to ask that question, especially when the menu doesn't say steak??? He continued to put the blame on me and refused to offer an alternative meal or concession od any sort. I will not return to this establishment. Poor food and poor service!!

The food was atrocious! A small amount given with expensive cost. The quality was below minimum. Rib tips were cut paper thin...very hard on out and inside...and they gave me half a link chopped up good enough for a cat! A small link rib tip combo was 18.99 and it was not worth it. I could have brought a slab of baby back ribs and a pack of links from the grocery store for cheaper and better quality and quantity. The barbecue was the worst I've had in my LIFE! Save your money DO NOT GO HERE!
