The vibe when you come is second to none. Hilarious bartended when I came in that recommended the hot honey brisket. Best I’ve had. Can’t say anything about the beans but that’s the only thing I would change

The menu is not as long as I thought it would be with a lot of different varieties I actually ordered the simple platter which is $52 but it have a lot of different things on it half slab ribs half a chicken to dinky dunker which is shredded pork sandwiches Two Italian sausage two corn muffins vegetarian baked beans so I ordered enough for three people and it was good

Stopped in late one night and really enjoyed it. The bartender was super helpful and friendly, and there was live music playing — great atmosphere. Interesting vibe overall and a cool spot to hang out.

Food was okay. Chicken was moist, lacked flavor, but the sauce definitely gave it a boost. Our garlic bread was BURNT and had no garlic flavor. M&C felt a bit grainy, wasn't anything special. Really hoping this was a one time goof. I really wanna like this place.

The absolute worst BBQ we've ever had and maybe some of the worst food in Chicago. I have to assume the high ratings are coming from people who enjoy the bar or maybe the restaurant has different chefs? We placed a pickup order for a b-day meal and that was seamless. Every single item we got was extremely dry and almost inedible. Even brisket with fat on it was dry.

We decided to get takeout tonight for my birthday. My husband spent over $170 on our food. Let’s start with the beans, they had no flavor whatsoever!!!! Did someone forget the salt! I’m not a salty person at all, but they literally tasted like bland beans and a chunk of meat. The corn bread was dry as heck. The brisket was nothing special. I will never return to the place again. I’ve definitely had better.

Honky Tonk BBQ is the real deal. I swung by for dinner and went all in with the Deluxe Personal Platter. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the pulled pork had that perfect smoky kick. The sides? Mac & cheese and southern greens that hit just right. Don't even get me started on the cornbread—fluffy and sweet. The vibe is laid-back, the service is on point, and the live tunes add to the charm. If you're in Pilsen and craving legit BBQ, this spot's a must. Worth every penny.

I ordered a brisket platter for myself with the garlic bread and I am disappointed 🙁 the brisket was dry, flavorless and not as tender and one would expect!! They use chanata to make the garlic bread but its was greasy with no flavor either! For 30+ bucks was not worth it! Only thing decent was the bba sauce! I may try this place out again but not the brisket or garlic bread
