Great beer. Really kid friendly and nice staff
Employees and/or owners are complete jerks. We walked in as first timers today and were aggressively told not to cut a line we didn’t realize had existed. He could have just told us nicely, but nah — homeboy ain’t getting a penny from us. Someone else in line saw what happened and let us know the guy is indeed a jerk. Checking the reviews, I see that plenty of people had the EXACT same experience, so clearly they aren’t interested enough to change their horrible behavior. Bye!

Nice atmosphere, very friendly staff, and excellent IPAs.
Hop Butcher for the World kicked off my 2025 Chicago brewery exploration, and it absolutely set the bar high. Amazing spot with a cool, laid-back vibe and a killer variety of beers. Everything I tried was packed with flavor—these folks clearly know what they’re doing. The space feels modern but not overdone, and it’s the kind of place where you can hang out for a while and just enjoy what’s in your glass. If you’re into hops, this is a must-visit in Chicago.
Five stars for me. Great neighborhood location, amazing beer, and simply outstanding service from Sylvia. I don't know when I'll be back to Chicago, but that's when I'll be back to Hop Butcher for the World.
Wonderful service and great beer.
Friendly people and good music. Beer selection was good. I had a hazy, a stout, and a Barley wine all with were great.

Great beer 10/10. Cool merch but moody lady. Tap room is (wait to be seated only) which is bizarre at first but it gets busy. Host/owner guy is not friendly but decent atmosphere.
Loved the atmosphere here. My sister loved the beers, except for one. I enjoyed the seltzer. My only wish is that Hop Butcher for the World had a food menu. We would have stayed much longer and drank many more rounds.
