I'm adding this review as an FYI to parents and a request for Hopewell to have a stated and consistent policy regarding children. After years of seeing other kids run around and then having our own and our friends' kids run around, we were just told very curtly and without explanation that kids could not run around anymore. So parents, if you're reading this wondering if Hopewell is kid-friendly, the answer seems to have changed from "absolutely" to "maybe kinda, I don't know anymore, but probably won't be going back until it's clarified".

the grilled chicken sandwich is DIVINE. the burger great too. the service is really good. you can come solo and sit at the bar or sit at a table. it’s cheery inside. they have a really expansive list of beers or ciders!

Eh could be better could be worse. The hours online don't reflect their actual hours, which may have affected my visit and my rating. We showed up when we thought they were still open but really they were just open enough to sell us beers from the cooler, which frankly we could've gotten from anywhere. With that said, the people who were there before they claimed to be closed looked like they were having a good time though, so I mean it might be a good place for a drink I'm not sure.

We came up to Chicago for a beer weekend and had a great time! We found the atmosphere of Hopewell to be just what we were looking for. The beers were great, especially loved a salty sour that was so unique but not overpowering. The board game selection was unique and let us sit and relax with some fun. We ended with some to-go beers and merch. I wish they had more sizes in the merch!

Great place if you want to grab a beer. The beers are decent. They have seltzers as well if you don't like beer. They don't have any food but they sometimes have food "pop-ups" during certain times where you can order from a limited menu. They have games available if you want to play while you drink. Bar service is great. We also did the tour but I do not recommend. It was $15 and we did get 3 full size beers which was fantastic. Our tour guide was not the best, which made it difficult to enjoy. Small brewery so there is not much to see on the tour. Also you have to wear closed toe shoes on the tour or else you cannot go!Definitely not my favorite brewery in Chicago, but it is still a cool spot to hang out.

It was a Sunday afternoon, and my family and I were looking for a place to relax and spend some time together. We decided to check out the brewery that my cousin and her husband frequent often. When we arrived, we were immediately struck by how bright and welcoming the space was. There were large windows that let in tons of natural light. There was also a large bar area with plenty of seating, as well as a few tables scattered around the brewery. We decided to sit at one of the tables near the games. There were several games to choose from, and we decided to play a star sign game. We had a lot of fun learning about each other. While we were playing, we noticed that the other parties at the brewery were also laughing and having a good time. It was a very festive atmosphere, and we felt right at home.We would definitely recommend this brewery to anyone looking for a fun and friendly place to spend an afternoon. The atmosphere is phenomenal, and the drinks are even better.

Quality place with interesting enough beers. Clover Club is an all-time fave but you can't go wrong with anything here. The hefeweissen they have right now and the Italian Ice are both great! They let us keep our tab open while we went to get some food which is really nice! It's a nice vibe with the windows open in the summertime.

Walked in after visiting the Logan Square Arts Fest for a drink. We came in with empty plastic glasses that I went to throw away before ordering some more drinks and food. Shortly before we got our drinks, a manager came over to us and said we weren't allowed to bring outside drinks and that we would have to leave. Even after specifying that I had only thrown away empty glasses and that I had already paid for additional drinks from the establishment, the manager still refused to budge. What? I've never heard of someone refusing additional business over an issue that didn't even happen in the first place! The fact that the manager didn't even want to listen left a terrible taste in my mouth. My guess is it was just an excuse to cover up racism. Highly recommend skipping this place. Go to Revolution Brewing instead

Bartender gave me racist vibes...came in here with an empty drink and threw it away and they kicked us out after I had already ordered drinks and food. They were willing to refund us atleast but kicked us out even though we didn't know this was an issue

Good selection of beers. Nice play to chill either solo, with a friend/date, or groups. Apparently have interesting chess following here. Was nice to hang out as long as you wanted. Order at bar and open seating. Enjoyed it. Parking limited to street which is challenging to find in this area. Close to blue line stop though.
