I hated my food. Asked if I could get fried rice, was told no that they don't have fried rice. They have 2 dishes literally called Fried Rice.... So that was odd. Food was quick and my wife really liked her sushi. We had to find our waiter to pay, she wasn't accessible. Other tables had a different waiter and had much better service. They charge a credit card surcharge.

I had the spicy garlic ramen at Hot Woks Cool Sushi more than two years ago, and I still crave it. That’s how memorable it was.
The flavor was bold, garlicky, and perfectly spicy—comforting and addictive. The atmosphere was just as good: warm, lively, and inviting. It left such a strong impression that it’s still one of my favorite food memories in Chicago.
Can’t wait to come back someday. 🍜

This place is conveniently located near Cloud Gate and the Art Institute of Chicago, making it an ideal stop if you’re in the area. However, the food is just so-so, and unfortunately, the service was even less impressive. The staff wasn’t particularly warm or attentive, which left much to be desired. While the location is great, the overall experience didn’t live up to expectations.

This is my 2nd time, still they gave the old chicken and they commented on the tip we gave and forced in our first time. I don't know how they have more reviews. Guess it's fake or AI thing.

I’ve visited several times and tried different items from the menu each time. The food is quite tasty, and I especially enjoy the tonkotsu ramen. There are also plenty of vegetarian options, making it a great choice for a casual lunch or dinner downtown. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal after exploring the Michigan Avenue area.

We were visiting the Christmas tree & bean and kids got hungry. Some went next door to shake shack, I wanted a poke bowl. I had intentions to walk to another place but saw this and thought to try it. We were pleasantly surprised! Long restaurant in the back makes it much bigger than it is from the outside. We were greeted fast and sat quickly. Son had a ramen bowl, I had a tuna / salmon and a 3rd kind of sushi .. poke bowl. Had one beer, total was about $40. Food was so good, service was fast and we look forward to going back again soon!

Upon walking in, it was very busy. The atmosphere was nice and vibrant. We were quickly sat, but it took a solid 15 minutes before they approached us after that. We ordered the General Tsos chicken, but it didn’t come out as advertised. It was missing the bell peppers and onions and the broccoli on it was raw, almost like they didn’t care. Later on we received our checks and come to find out that we were all charged 20% gratuity for “large party” (there was 5 of us). Normally I wouldn’t mind that as long as it’s advertised beforehand, but there was no postage or signage anywhere regarding this. Upon questioning, the waitress said it was “non-negotiable”. I don’t know how big a “large party” is, but I don’t recommend this place.

Visiting from out of town and stumbled across this place. The service was fast, the food was reasonably priced, and above all, it was delicious!
Pictured are chicken yakisoba, spicy garlic ramen, california roll, and lychee mimosa.

Got a gift card and made my way through the cold for some hot food! They have a great menu of the classics like sushi and orange chicken and some fun items like bento boxes and lychee mimosas. The chicken bento was very good and a great portion! It came with a mini salad, fried veggies, miso soup, teriyaki chicken, white rice, and a California roll! A great deal for the price. They also have desserts but I was too full to try this time. Great spot across from Millenium park too!
Love it here it's amazing

We’re close by so we pick this up occasionally. The curry is great and the chicken is good! The Pad Thai is very dry and could use more sauce and chicken. Potential to be a great place downtown.

If you're in a hurry and looking for delicious food, I would recommend this restaurant. There were a lot of options and the service was quick and easy. 5⭐️
EDIT: I recently went back and found it was much less busy than usual. I don't know if they changed ownership or their recipes, but the food is much less flavorful (with the exception of the crab rangoon) and service isn't ideal. Such a shame.

The best sushi I have ever had! Mega Vega Sushi absolutely blew me away — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Everything else on the menu is quite decent as well, but the sushi is truly the standout here. Overall, it’s a very nice Asian restaurant with a warm atmosphere and great service. Highly recommended for sushi lovers!
