I really wanted to love this place. I went there a couple of weeks ago and the woman who took my order was friendly enough. I went there today and was completely turned off by the woman who took my order. She seemed more interested in the conversation she was having with the patrons before me. She was very warm and friendly with them. When I approached the counter and said hello, she was extremely dry. I ordered my sandwich to go and bounced. I don’t think I will be patronizing this establishment going further. Also, they are very skimpy when it comes to the ingredients in their sandwiches.

I hate having to give one star as the afternoons and evenings are always a delight, but in the mornings the service is quite simply insufferable on a consistent basis. For a coffee bar, the urgency is non-existent to a point that it's truly disrespectful to customers and delivery partners who rely on quick turnarounds to survive. A modicum of consideration for all parties involved would go such a long way but the morning team seems consistently oblivious to. Please care about your customers and delivery partners

Humboldt haus has become one of my favorite places. I finally tried some of their breakfast items and they were delicious. They have a great cafe menu and many options. I also love their veggie sandwiches. Didn't realize they had a bar too. Can't wait to take a walk to humbolt haus in the summers and enjoy some drinks and sandwiches.

Food is great, but service no...its Unfortunate..
I asked for no Pork on the Omerta & to swap for roast beef or anything non pork (how hard is that? ) but they refused to accomadate even after she the cashier went and asked for me..I dont eat pork for dietary reasons, this is rude..I've spent over 220$ dollars here on 3 previous visits, and this is my 4th but last time, I walked out with no order because i cant support that level of service. I've even posted this place on my large Chicago based platform on social media when the manager or owner? asked me to give them a good review on my 1st visit.
This isnt good service this is rude and unaccomadating to your repeat customer. Im in the service industry for 12 years and also know the people who make your custom breads for you pretty well. This is a shame I wasted my time coming here to support such an unaccomadatibg establishment. Unappreciative businesses dont belong or deserve to have my or anyone's support. I hate that I had to post this but this here is your wake up call. Appreciate your customers or someone else will.

If u want a deli sandwich that is way overpriced this is your spot!!!! Tasted good but not nearly enough food for an adult or teenager.

I bought 2 coffees today and the girl working did not heat up the milk for my latte. So it basically was not a coffee it ended up being like warm milk with a shot of espresso. Someone needs to train the model how to make a coffee. Definately not a barista.Coffee 101 fail

Great sandwich! Got the turkey club and amazing banana mocha coffee. Bread did feel slightly old and the restaurant itself was super hot, but definitely will be back!

I just ate one of the best sandwiches I have had in my entire life. I ordered the Capo Dei Capi artisan sandwich with a balsamic glaze and it was unbelievable! My husband had the Pedrino and loved it as well! Absolutely amazing sandwiches and we loved the artisan Italian sandwiches
