The WestSider was a GREAT sandwich. Chill atmosphere. You can hang out here getting Coffee, Sandwiches and Cocktails/Beer all in one place!

I don’t like the owner. He seems to have internalized racism and self hate. He only goes out of his way to be nice to his white customers. He literally redecorated the place to appease the gentrifiers. I’ll be taking my hard earned money to other latine owned businesses that aren’t self hating like owner. Nothing worse that Latinos who want to align themselves with white supremacy values. Do better.

Friendly staff, awesome mocha and artsy. The 9” sub I got has a slice of roast beef and corn beef, but not enough meat for the price and made the best way overwhelming in comparison to the meat portion. Also one slice of cheese. So underwhelming meat and cheese.

The cafe options were alright, and neat that they offered some food to aiming with a separate bar section.

Outdoor seating was nice to sit at.

Spent 50$ on two sandwiches and 2 coffees. It's super cold in there and weird atmosphere. Not good.

Nice space indoor that you might not expect walking on the street. Really solid draft list with a lot of different options. Once down side the chairs at the tables are those really uncomfortable barstools that seem to be all the rage these days.

Update: Humboldt Haus immediately responded to my feedback and fixed the situation with great customer service. I get things happen but not all businesses jump on a resolution so fast if they try to resolve at all. Thank you Nick and the Humboldt team for the acknowledgement and providing a nice unexpected resolve that wasn't necessary but greatly appreciated.

I ordered a roast beef sandwich to go and the meat has a film to it and is so salty that I can't even eat the sandwich. Hopefully just an off day for them but a shame to waste money on a sandwich I can't eat. Had their food before and it was alright.

I use to order from here on a fairly regular basis and went back for the first time in a while last night. I ordered two sandwiches, an Italian and a club both 13 dollars each mind you.

when i unwrapped the club I had one piece of corn beef and one piece of turkey, how is this even reasonable. The bread closed shut there were so little meat.

I understand with inflation its hard to make what you did in the past BUT DO NOT CHARGE YOUR CUSTOMERS the same price for a quarter of the meat.

There is a Jersey Mike's on Milwaukee, Jimmy Johns on Division, the list goes on and on for sandwich shops in the city.

Humboldt Haus, this was a sad excuse for service. I am no longer going to order from here. I hope all of you follow suite so you don't waste your money and left with disappointment.

Chaotic, disorganized, kitchen short staffed (based on the wait time I experienced). Worst of all when I walked in the two workers didn't greet me or ask if I needed to order or if I was picking up. I had to get their attention to get service. Then I was waiting for my order and this white lady comes in and is greeted and given service right away. These workers need implicit racial bias training to realize that brown people also deserve quality prompt service.
