very sketchy business practices, forced gratuity of 20%, without my consent or knowledge they took a 20% tip on an overpriced drink, I tipped in addition to their 20% they took, not knowing until I saw my friends receipts. never again

I would like to know why your dress code specifically says “No white Air Force Ones and no Timbs”. It’s giving racist/no coloreds allowed! Please explain… Is any other color air forces ones ok or any other winter boots….

Stay away!! Too many hidden fees on your drinks, tip, even ice!! Trust me save your $$ there are better places that don’t rip you off!

The male owner of the club is very disrespectful, racist and shows discrimination. No respect at all. Let white people in no matter their dress code or intoxication but if you are black and don’t meet the standards he will not let you in. Security shows favoritism to people they know. As in they let people they know in first no matter the dress code. First timers if you’re not in their dress code they will not let you in. Security are liars. Terrible service not fair or equal to everyone.

Most overpriced bar in Wrigleyville and the owner is incredibly rude. They charge $5 per drink for "rocks" aka ice.

I left my credit card there after playing a show and forgetting to close out while cleaning up after the show and then they were closed for the next 4 days so I couldn't call to ask about my card.

I got a charge for $185 dollars which I found incredibly surprising so I went over there right when they opened to get my card and figure out what I got charged for.

When the owner (I found out he's the owner later) opened the door, I told him I was there to get my card and he asked me if I had called first because if I didn't call then there's no guarantee that it's there. I said can you just check and also give me an itemized receipt. When I asked for the itemized receipt, he got upset and said I was coming in hot asking for that and was offending to him because it implied to him that they had stolen my card and had been using it or mischarged me in some way. I don't feel like I came in hot initially, but I even tried to de-escalate by admitting that I could have come in hot and not realized it and that I was upset because I got a $185 charge that I wasn't expecting. I said can I just please get my card and the receipt and I'll be on my way. He continued to escalate from there by continuing to complain that I asked for an itemized receipt "right away" and that they would never screw any customer over and that it's probably just my fault for getting too drunk and not closing out. Any normal owner would simply say sure I'll check for your card and get you that receipt. Even if I came in and implied that they screwed me, he shouldn't be the one escalating. He should simply hand me the card and receipt and explain the charges and leave it at that. This guy immediately came in hot and ready to gaslight instead.

From there, when I got the receipt, I started to total up the values on my phone because I wanted to double check and understand how the charges got so high and the whole time I was doing that, he kept saying that it's a computer and it's not going to change anything and that there's no reason for me to do that. I asked him to just leave me alone then and let me do the math, but he continued to speak in an annoyed tone and tell me there's no point and that it's offensive that I think something could be wrong.

After looking at the receipt, I noticed that $15 dollars of the charges alone were on ice from 3 drinks which no one told me about when I ordered. This place is going to slip in extra charges wherever they can and not give you a heads up about them ahead of time. I certainly wouldn't have gotten ice in my drink if I knew it cost $5 a drink. When I asked the owner if they charged me $15 for ice, he initially said no then looked at it and was like oh well you got a makers mark double on the rocks! We charge for that! You should have known!

To be fair to them, they didn't charge anything incorrectly. They simply hide fees from the customer that you don't see until you go to pay like the shady ice charge and a whole host of fees (restaurant surcharge when it's a bar and I didn't order any food and there was a concert going on??) and overpriced drinks. They did add a 20% tip for themselves which I found out they automatically add to everyone's bill and don't point out. My friends who didn't notice it ended up double tipping for a total of 40% of the bill. I'm sure the owner would blame the customer for not noticing. It's a predatory place and there are far better options in Wrigley.

I will never go to this bar again and I highly recommend you don't either because best case scenario you will get overcharged, but worst case scenario you will have an issue and the owner will get defensive before hearing the issue and then

The DJ was immaculate DJ rage, however my niece got into a scuffle with some girls inside of the club however, I did not get into the scuffle and I was still put out and by security. I am trying to reach the owner of this club because I have some property that was damaged and I was trying to talk to the security, which was not having it or was trying to hear me. I felt unsafe and was put in harms way after they put me and my niece out the club or bar whatever you wanna call it as well as the girls, which was a group of five possibly
And we were attacked So I am trying to reach the owner if you can please email me ASAP as well as we also felt like the drinks were definitely overcharged $33 for two Tito‘s and lemonade is insane. Is that included with the tip because I still tipped at the end of the day, but that’s just insane once again Owner please reach out to me! Sincerely, a person trying to have a nice time with their niece and a what I thought was a nice and safe neighborhood!

HVAC will milk you dry. Ordered 4 lemon drop shots and it cost $70! Gave us half ounce shots in plastic shot glasses. Tasted like watered down bathroom cleaner, $15 a pop! And they were kind enough to include a tip on our behalf. Went down the street and got 4 mixed drinks for $20. Save your money!

This place blows. The security is rude af and frankly ableist. I will not be back here again. Don’t go here unless you’re underaged and willing to be complacent with their ever changing security barriers.

Staff at the bar were wonderful. Very attentive. Asked for a stamp to go outside and make a call. Security said if I left the building, I would have to stand in line. Which was very long outside. Like common? This made me never what to come back here. Had a great time but will not return or recommend

They enforce a dress code of no ripped jeans but at the door the code on men… and men of color at that..if the dress code is written for no specific gender or race then that she be the standard for all people. Immediately lost my service.

would leave zero stars if i could. i visited this bar with my boyfriend and we accidentally left our coats inside and when we went to retrieve our belongings the large female bouncer had what could only be described as a temper tantrum and started screaming at us, physically intimidating us and throwing things, scaring off multiple other patrons in the line outside who voiced their discomfort and left as soon as they saw her antics. another bouncer eventually let us inside to grab our coats but i am genuinely shocked by the service we received here. drinks were incredibly overpriced, can't believe we spent almost $100 on 4 drinks just to recieve this kind of treatment. avoid at all costs

Will say I was enjoying my time with friends from my home town at the wrigley bar crawl until who I now know as the co-owner laid hands on me to which I took them off me and expressed not to touch me. I had done nothing more than try to follow my group of friends around the bar. Following taking his hands off me two security guards then escorted me outside with no explanation and again I had done nothing wrong. The co-owner then proceeded to come out and insult me once more all the while cowardly doing this all behind his security. Seeing the many reviews I can see I am not the only the only one this has happened to. Overall the absolute worst bar on that entire street by far and owner in definite need of reevaluation.
