In the middle of winter with one dude having Timbs and 4 beautiful women looking to spend $$$$ was seen as a threat and they wouldn't let him in. Not knowing all 5 of us are industry vets. AND we all went here when it was the notorious and infamous WILD HARE (untouchable). We'll be spreading the word quickly.
Go elsewhere everyone.

Attempted to go here last night with a large group. There were about 30 of us, all women, all middle aged, celebrating a birthday. When we arrived there were no other patrons in the bar. Zero. We were ordering our drinks when a security guard approached us and told us that fur boots were not allowed, because apparently it is a safety hazard of some sort? Later a different employee said they do not allow large groups. What kind of a bar turns away 30 patrons when they are empty? We were not out of control in any way (see the middle-aged part above). One member of our party ordered and paid for her drink before the security guard kicked us out. They would not let her finish her drink and also refused to refund her. As other reviews have stated, this place seems to be rather particular about their patrons. Racist? Ageist? Who knows, but don’t go here. The staff is incredibly rude. I hope they go out of business.

Security is very unprofessional and the club upholds a dress code set up to discriminate against people of color… I was turned around for wearing timbs, yet I saw them let in people wearing dirty sneakers, torn up cowboy boots, and other winter boots. Consider where you party and spend your dollar. This is not the establishment to do so.

0/10 Disgusting experience. We arrived early, bought drinks, and supported the event while the crowd filled in. After being there for over an hour and doing absolutely nothing wrong, we were suddenly told by security that we had to leave with no explanation. When we asked to speak to management, we were refused and given zero answers. We were the only Black people in the venue at the time, which made this feel targeted, discriminatory, and humiliating. I did not need to argue or create a scene — I simply deserved to know why I was being removed. The way we were treated was unprofessional, disheartening, and unacceptable. I will never return and would not recommend this place to anyone. Also I wanna add Savanna H. was out bar tender and she was extremely rude and kicking other people out as well.

This girl assaulted some girls and started mocking them, they did nothing wrong. These security guards are really abusing their authority.

Security is extremely rude. Bartenders charge a 20% gratuity on their own and still ask for more. There are random fees added onto the bill. Overall, it is not worth coming to this bar and if you do, expect to buy very overpriced drinks.

That blonde white girl bouncer is racist as hell! They refused me just because of my Mexican ID. She told me “they didn’t usually accept Mexican IDs” (the owner then literally told me they do) then she told me I could go in but then suddenly backed out and changed her mind out of nowhere and didn’t let me or my friends come in ??!?

EDIT: the owner then apologized to me and our group for the situation and was extremely kind and helpful. I appreciated it very much so it definitely made the experience much more pleasant. Thank you Nick !!!

My favorite club in the wrigleyville area. I feel like there’s never a long line but the upstairs, quick service, and sizable dance floor make it a perfect spot for me. They have this dude dj too and he is really good at his job. Whenever it’s someone else they’re still great but never at that dudes level.

while trying to enter the establishment i experienced the most distasteful encounter. my friends and I were enjoying a bachelorette party (an evening on the town in our cowgirl themed outfits ). half the party arrived prior to us and were already inside. Once we arrived, we were told they don’t do themes and we could not enter. This was confusing to me since the other part of our group was allowed to enter with the exact same attire. I simply asked were they being discriminatory since part of our group was allowed to enter with the same attire on. the owner then proceeded to say he didn’t want to let us in because we used the word ”discriminatory.”
It was as if they were finding any excuse to not let us in even though the other part of our group could visibly be seen through the window wearing the exact same attire that the owner mentioned was not allowed. To put the icing on the cake, I took a photo of their “rules“ and it mentioned ”NO BASEBALL CAPS.” Despite the rules printed on the front of their establishment, they allowed 5+ people inside with baseball caps. funny though how the owner was acting offended by the question “are you discriminating against the rules you want to enforce “ while discriminating and picking and choosing which rules to enforce. I guess it depended on who was wearing what and what he felt like giving a pass. All I’m going to say is, people of lighter persuasions we allowed entry despite not adhering to the rules (I.e.: base ball caps ) and no they were not CUBS base ball caps. I am extremely disappointed in my experience and will probably never come here ever again.

This is the worst discrimination I have ever encountered. They refused me entry due to having a service animal then proceeded to mock me for over an hour as I waited for police to show up. I explained ADA law many times and showed them physical proof to ADA laws as well as explaining it to them as they continued to intentionally discriminate against me. The manager on shift eventually came out and claimed I was too intoxicated to which I responded with consent for a breathalyzer as I had less than 3 drinks the entire night and had been clearly told the issue was me having a service animal. They continued to berate and mock me with 6 employees until police arrived. This is the most disgusting and blatant intentional discrimination I have ever faced. These 6 individuals clearly represent this business as a whole and their eagerness to harm people with disabilities.

Had an unforgettable night at HVAC Club! From the moment we walked in, the energy was on point and the whole experience was top-tier. 🔥 The security team was on it—super respectful and made sure everyone felt safe. The staff and coworkers created such a fun, welcoming vibe, and the bosses? Nothing but class and good energy! 💯
