Super clean, no frills spot for a delightful and yummy meal. The staff was friendly, and the tacos were so good! We will be returning on our next trip to Chicago!!

I had heard great things about this spot so I really wanted to try it. The hours state11am-9pm everyday but I have been by TWICE around two different times and both times they were closed. No sign, no lights, NOTHING. Just inexplicably closed. A WASTE of money...GAS ain't cheap !!

The food is serviceable (when it's available) but I've found the staff to be disinterested at best, and rude at worst. Their website and Yelp shows them as being open "every day" from 11am to 9pm, but I can tell you that they are often not. I live within easy walking distance, and more than once I've walked over for lunch only to find them inexplicably closed. No sign on the door. No hours in the window. Just closed. The problem here is that these folks are preparing food. Food for YOU to eat. But doing that well and safely requires sticking to certain minimum standards. If an owner is so lax about their business that they're willing to just randomly not open on some days, then how do you think that owner is doing in the kitchen? Do you trust them to make sure that their employees aren't handling the cilantro immediately after chopping raw chicken? I don't.

I ordered a burrito and my expectations were high since it's a staple in Hyde Park. The burrito didn't have any flavor. I continued eating it, thinking it would get better but I was disappointed. Also there was so much packed into it, that it was soggy on the bottom.

I believe this is the 2nd time I have been trying to order and they have gone ghost. Between that and never having guacamole even though it is a menu item I'm done. I just wasted $23 and over an hour of my time trying to give you my money. I could have had food from elsewhere a long time ago. Luckily Grubhub issued a refund, but of course I have to wait for it. I just counted. I had ordered 24 times from you in 2018. 24!! I would say that I was a loyal customer... But now?? I'm a former customer.

Went to this place today on a whim because my original choice was closed and it popped up on Yelp. I was pleasantly surprised. I had the grilled chicken burrito and it was delicious. The chicken was super moist and well seasoned and the sauces are great too. Is it the best Mexican I've ever had? Nah, but it was delicious and I'd definitely go back. I do wish they offered taco dinners instead of everything being a la carte, but I still had a great experience overall.

It looks so good, and appetizing. Very expensive for the quality of food. STEAK TACO = meat not seasoned well, tastes just like salt and pepper were added. BARBACOA TACO = Saltier than Salt Lake Itah, On God. AL PASTOR TACO = Somehow this is the only one that kind of tastes ok. MAHI-MAHI TACO = Barely give you some pineapple sauce lol and the fish is very tasteless. To top it all off the lady at the front register takes very long to get your order, she made a customers order twice and called the same name also, very strange. She asked us for the order again at the very end like, we just went over this during the order process. The place is very uncomfortable and they have some hard a** wooden stools, after 5 minutes your a** is f****** numb. I rather stood there and wait for our order. In other words, I'd rather go to the taco truck in my neighborhood back In California

I stepped into this restaurant after buying some items next door in the tobacco shop. I love tacos, and this place looked clean so I wanted to try it out. Before I could even get my order out for two steak tacos, i was addressed by the cashier in the most rude tone possible of "you ready." I had to ask her to repeat herself because I was taken aback by her approach, and I almost canceled the order before confirming it, but I didn't want her to ruin my experience. I ordered the tacos with everything, and I sat and waited for the tacos, and observed the cashiers express more warmth to other customers that were receiving and placing orders. When trying the tacos, I wish they were worth it but they weren't. I have had better, and inexpensive tacos in the "back of the yards, neighborhood with better customer service. The moral of this story, looks can be very decieving.

How this place could have less than 4 stars is crazy to me! I came here for the first time yesterday and got a steak burrito (no sour cream- gross) and it. Was. Amazing!!! I am only in the neighborhood for 5 days and I've been twice! I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. You won't regret it! Also, the service here is wonderful. The man handing out all the food (I assume owner?) is so nice and friendly. Has a smile on his face and wants to know his customers. Also- when they ask spicy or mild salsa, note they mean smoky or mild! The spicy isn't spicy, it's smoky... but it's good!

I don't get here very often, and I miss Ribs N Bibs, the former location, but I usually enjoy their food. I enjoyed the fish taco and chips and guac. The fish is blackened, not fried so that's a plus. This is obviously built for takeout though they do have a few seats inside. I wish they had price-saving combos, where one can order 2 or 3 tacos and save, or tacos with chips/salsa.

Decided to give them another chance and dealt with another issue. Should have avoided them all together. Came there at 8:45 and they had there door closed even though they close at 9:00pm. Asked the worker if they closed at 8:45pm. He said he didn't know what time they closed. Asked him to go asked just kept saying he didn't know. I then asked him can he go get someone that knows. Let and came back again and still couldn't tell me what time they closed. How hard is it to answer this question. Who states they are closed at 9:00pm and locks the door before 8:45pm
