The service was excellent. The food was well prepared and the servings were large. Definitely worth the price.

I absolutely love Il Culaccino! The atmosphere is inviting, the food is delicious, and the staff is hospitable!

The food and service was excellent. The staff was very attentive and portions were generous. My one complaint was that the regular dining area was so loud that it was almost impossible to have a conversation at the table. This would probably be a better spot for a group dinner than a date night.

We had a wonderful birthday dinner with cocktails. The 30 ounce Berkshire pork chop was amazing, made with Marsala and roasted potatoes. The roasted beet salad and linguine with clams very very good. Nice wine selection and good seasonal cocktails. Very nice outdoor seating with a retractable roof. Will be going back.

We were in a convention and needed to escape convention center food! We found the restaurant, made a reservation and we went. The reservation helped because it filled up quickly. Food was very good but they were overwhelmed by the crowd so, taking our order took a while but food came out quickly, so, we liked it. Would definitely return if in the area.

Food was good - but had to wait 30 minutes for someone to take our order. Was lunch break during a conference. They need to either seat less tablea or have more staff

It's pretty basic Italian. Nice portions. Vodka sauce dish was dry. It was 815 ish by the time we were served but every dish should be as good as the first. Huge portion of chicken parm. It was good but not great. I did have a stand alone Italian sausage on the side. It was outstanding.

The noise level was too loud, making it hard to talk to the people we were dining with. Why go out with people if you don't want to talk? We requested outdoor seating, they confirmed our reservation but didn't have outdoor seating. We were annoyed, but by the time we found out, it was too late to make other arrangements.

Rolled into Il Culaccino near McCormick Place and dropped about $65 on whipped ricotta tuffo, spicy penne pesto, and a glass of Chianti. The ricotta spread was creamy perfection, and that penne had a great kick. Patio’s sleek and chill, staff were super friendly, and the wine list’s solid. Portion sizes are generous too. One of my new go-to spots when I'm craving modern Italian without the fuss.

This dish I arranged to my preference and it was magical!!

salad and wine (Malbec) were rather nice. The calamari was either fried in burnt oil or somehow the batter was burnt. NOT tasty! The seating outside under the covered patio doesn't allow for the best acoustics for groups. Our waitress appeared somewhat pushy, too, hence the rating.

Lauren

cute vibe, great service, excellent food and the portion size definitely intended to share

Second time eating here and this time was a huge disappointment. Food was definitely not up to their standards. Pasta was dry and one pasta dish had an off taste - it was sent back.

Conferencing at the McCormick and just 7min walk so decided to try since very packed inside the hall. Not v packed, sat at the atrium, the guy brought the water and then ignored us for a long time, we tried to wave as politely as possible as we wanted to return to our meeting. So lunch took 2hrs. Appetizers nice. The veal was ok but the shrimp pasta was too spicy as if they used a lot of tobasco. Coffee bland.
