We visited from the UK and chose Il Porcellino as our ‘last night' meal before flying home and it was the best decision ever! The food, the wine, the service - Everything was incredible! If I lived in Chicago, this would be a regular spot for me for sure!
My favorite place to eat in Chicago. Great for friends and colleagues, great food and impeccable, kind service. Our server Gio for party of nine at a roundtop was excellent.
Really enjoyed the dinner. Wait service was excellent. I would have preferred they ask if a high top table was ok, also prefer bread is available less than full loaf. I don't mind paying for bread but I was the only bread-eater in my party and didn't want to waste, so went without.
Nice place for a casual date night, Amazing food, beautiful ambiance but service was lacking. Waiter barely checked in, food took a while to arrive and when we finished we waiting about 20mins before we were able to locate our waiter.
From the garlic bread to the ravioli everything was amazing! Best Italian food ever! Server was wonderful and attentive!!
Could not recommend this place more. What one dish was lacking the service completely made up for it. The vodka pasta was incredible as was the service. Ambiance Was amazing despite getting a small table in the corner. Will definitely be back!
Came here for the first time for a birthday dinner. Love the ambiance. Food was very good. Will definitely be coming back here.
I fully enjoyed my meal at Il Porcellino. My husband and I were in town from New Orleans and were looking forward to an authentic Italian meal. We were not disappointed. Notes: It is a very popular place, so make a reservation. it is lively and the noise level is high, which we loved. The service was excellent! The food was amazing. I had the meatballs and spaghetti, and the hubs had the chicken parmesan. Both were excellent. Also, paying the bill was very simple. There was a QR code provided and you just use your phone to settle up.
We are so glad we made our last dinner reservation at I'll Porcellino bc it did not disappoint! Our server, Dan was attentive and incredibly nice. I can't wait to come back next time I'm in Chicago!
Celebrated my birthday here with a 8-top (only needed 7). The food was great, my Caesar salad was fresh and prepared correctly. My mimosa was on back order but came with everyone else's. We ordered 40 minutes after sit down (waiting for the rest of the party and being indecisive) and the food came quick. Many people tried to get in but they are very strict with reservations. It was fairly quiet for a Saturday night. My chicken vesuvio was good as well Also got complimentary ice cream for my birthday

Went for the wine list, was somewhat dissapointed but the food is amazing! Much better than our group had expected. Their sauces are excellent, much better than I have had in a really long time. We will be back.
Super good! The brussel sprouts were pretty undercooked but the spicy shrimp scampi was really good!
Omg I came here for my birthday, and the food and ambiance were amazing. I'm still thinking about the penne chicken pasta. Will definitely be back when I come back to Chicago.
The food is delicious and ambience very nice, but the music is SO loud that you need to yell to talk to the person in front of you. If they'd just adjust that, would be incredible and would feel more comfortable in the restaurant.
We love Il Porcellino's! It has become our go to place to take out of town visitors. The food is excellent, the servers are excellent. Love the atmosphere and the music - a blend of old school Frank Sinatra and Motown, don't ask, it works! It may be a bit loud but even that works. Highly recommend. Make a reservation because it's always busy.
