Beer was amazing. Vibes were immaculate. The bartender Emily was so nice.

Went for a show on a Friday night and got treated horribly by the male bartender/manager. When we went to close out we were told that our card was not working. No problem, we tried 4 other cards and the system kept denying them. The manager handled the situation by telling us we had no money and calling us idiots. This ended up being an error from the system, obviously, but he continued to insult us as we tipped and left.

This place is a hidden gem for beer enthusiasts. They are meticulous about their craft and you can see the magic since their canning takes place onsite! Lots of flavors that cater to every palate.

What truly sets this brewery apart, however, is the owner's unwavering commitment to giving back to the local community. By generously donating their exceptional beer to our St. Mark preschool fundraiser, they've become an integral part of supporting education in our area, proving that great taste and a big heart can go hand in hand. Super cool microbrewery! All of the beers we tried were fantastic and the decor and vibe is super fun. Pinball machine was an added bonus. We were visiting from out of town and can't wait to visit again soon. Bartender Tony was super friendly and his beer recommendations were spot on!

Tucked into a strip mall on Northwest Highway, Illuminated Brew Works is a fun & funky spot that gives off “occult” vibes. Friendly folks working there with a wide range of beers to suit many tastes. There’s plenty of seating, eclectically decorating, pinball, and a small outdoor space as well. Recommended!

Discovered Illuminated Brew Works at the Grayslake Craft Beer Fest (The Watergate Salad Affair is ridiculously delicious) so we had to pay them a visit. Had an absolute blast sampling even more of their tasty brews! The staff was super friendly. The ambience is fun and freaky (in a great way) and just had a great time striking up some fun conversations with the other patrons. Pretty sure there is something for everyone to enjoy here so don't miss out!
