The best donuts in Chicago! šŸ©šŸ¤©Yeah I’m ready to argue! Always Excellent service! My staple since 2013. Will definitely visit every time I’m in town!

Where my daily donut addiction started. Used to stop for a chocolate cake donut nearly every morning before school.

Permit parking and school traffic can make it challenging in the early morning hours.

I love an old school Chicago Bakery. You know that feeling when you visit your favorite relative? That’s what it’s like at Impallaria Bakery. You will be greeted with a warm hello and smile when entering. Still family run, they have the best coffee cakes, danishes and donuts this side of the city. You know it’s good when kids stop by on the way to school to grab a donut in the morning. The butter cookies are literally 99%butter and 1% flour and eggs. Don’t hesitate to grab a half pound to eat in the car on the way home.
I’ve have ordered danishes for teacher appreciation or staff meetings and they are always a hit. Flaky pastry with a light drizzle of icing and good balance of filling. The almond crescents are popular.
Old fashioned hand dipped cake donuts are a treat! They also have deli sandwiches which I have yet to order.
Did I mention they have cakes?? Where in the city can you find a fresh cake under $30?????
If you’re in the area be sure to stop by!

A real nice bakery with a full range of pastries, treats, and other baked goods and foods to purchase at your own leisure.

I’ve been going to this place for close to a decade now, which is a little surreal, but their sub sandwiches are a common comfort that I like to indulge in. Personal sandwich recommendations of the Italian/Spicy Italian and the Turkey (although I don’t get mayonnaise on it). What more could you ask for in a quaint little shop like this?

The cashiers there were rude to me and my baby and made me wait about a half hour for a cup of coffee. Never coming back here and wasting my money. If you hate children don't work in customer service. If you can't help open a door for someone or swipe a card for someone who can't bring their stroller in, don't work in customer service.

A gem of Bridgeport!! Lovely bakery that has so many options! cookies, donuts, pie, breads, coffee (iced or hot), cappuccino, hot chocolate, pies, cakes, etc!In the back, they make more lunch foods: soups, meatball sandwiches, sausages, other sandwiches, and so much more! This family bakery has been around for 74 years and counting!

Parking: free parking on Wallace or cross street (30th street) but note the school hours
