It's is probably one of the best Indian restaurant which I have visited in USA. They have separate Indo-Chinese and North Indian menus. We ordered Chilli Garlic Noodles and Hawkers Chowmin noodles. They very extremely delicious and remained us of street food from India.

Our first time to India House restaurant in Chicago and will definitely return! Great food and service, our server Jose was great and helped pick some excellent dishes. The butter chicken was delicious and the lentils very delicious.

I heard a lot about this place so I decided to go for a buffet. The taste was par to below par for me. Idk people who have given 5 stars have not tasted good Indian food in the US.
The chhole, dum aalu and dal makhani was very average bland taste. The veg biryani was actually pulav. The Indian breads were bland not crispy or hot and served with no butter. It was not like layered Naan. The manchurian, sambhar and pani puri was good as per US so points for that. The gulab jamun tasted like a frozen Haldiram box sweet and the ice cream had ice texture to it.
I was disappointed there was no paneer dish.
The service was fine. For about 22$ without tax it is not bad but I may not go again.

It was my first time at India House with a nut allergy, and Sanket was a wonderful server! Very communicative about what items had nuts and what didn’t, the food was delicious and the service was amazing! Would 100% come again!
