I recently stopped by Insomnia Cookies and had a really frustrating experience with the manager on duty. I had just purchased my cookies and realized I forgot to add milk. I simply asked if I could quickly add it and step out, but instead of helping, the manager spoke down to me and said, āIām not gonna have you disrespect my customers and cut in line.ā
There was absolutely no need for that tone ā I wasnāt trying to skip anyone or cause an issue, I just made a simple request. It felt like she was more interested in asserting authority than helping a paying customer. Completely unnecessary and unprofessional.
On the other hand, the security guard was extremely polite and understanding. He handled the situation calmly and respectfully ā a total contrast to the manager.
Insomnia Cookies, your staff reflects your brand. You might want to take a closer look at how your management treats customers who are just trying to enjoy your product.
