Wonderful space and delicious coffee. If you’re walking in I’d highly recommend this cafe. In person, 5 stars! Coffee, food, and atmosphere is great.

Now, my one star rating is exclusive to their online experience. I was trying to order a coffee ahead the first time today - the initial experience seemed easy. I added the coffee to my cart, went to checkout, entered my name, credit card, tip etc. when I clicked order I was met with my first point of friction - I needed to create an account (you should be allowing guest check out, I didn’t want an account). I decided to go ahead and sign up, adding my email and password. Thinking I was finally done, I tried to check out again only to realize the website is forcing me to verify my email and enter my email and password. Not ideal, but I’m basically committed at this point so fine. I do all of this, then scroll to the bottom of the page to check out again… only to realize my name and credit card info needs to be entered again. At this point I gave up, I’m ordering from Starbucks for pickup because it’s SIGNIFICANTLY easier.

I hope someone reads this review and realizes how insane your online ordering process is, especially for people who haven’t ordered online before.

My suggestion: allow guest check out, and add Apple or Google pay so I don’t have to whip out my credit card to type in the numbers.

Honestly - stick with the classics here! I've had much better lattes and iced coffee here compared to the seasonal stuff. Excellent place to get work done and relax.

We had drip coffee and chorizo tacos. Everything was good. Nice calm environment.
Purchased a bag of coffee and accidentally left it there. Bummed I couldn’t get a replacement. It was my bad for leaving it behind when we cleared our plates.

Rude staff that delivered the wrong order. I came in for an iced latte with a friend. We waited for 5-10 minutes for drinks to be served - the cafe was relatively buzzing. During that wait I had a moment of confusion as I saw a drink come out and had thought I heard my name, turned out to be for a different name that rhymed with my own, so I waited some more and again thought I heard my name, but saw a hot drink on the counter (I had ordered an iced latte). Again, I asked if the drink was for my name and was met with attitude from the barista that set the drink out. The drink was supposedly mine but they clearly had messed it up. Had my friend I was with not been in a rush for work I would’ve had the drink remade but I left unsatisfied with the wrong beverage.

The espresso tonics used to be good, but they make it in large batches instead of fresh now, and the drink is completely flat when you get it.

Great coffee. They have a pretty large sitting area inside and they also have outdoor seating. I love their iced coffee with oat milk and Stevia. They don't have Splenda. The oat milk and half and half are out for you to put in yourself. They don't have sugar free syrups. They have regular syrups. Also they have a great app but no rewards program. I wish they offered their customers some kind of incentive for choosing them over all the coffee shops in the area. All in all a nice place. It's clean and the staff are friendly. They do offer coffee beans and ground coffee to take home. They do have some pastries for sale.

Came to Chicago having never heard of Intelligentsia, left Chicago with an Intelligentsia addiction. The Angeleno was so good!

A star for the space, a star for the black coffee varieties. This has been such a friendly neighborhood; are these baristas not treated well? Service is unfriendly and comes off inconvenienced.
