We had a great Thanksgiving brunch here. There was a good selection of food, even for folks who didn't care for the meats. The wait staff was very friendly as well.
The restaurant did a great job of decorating, so there were plenty of excellent photo opportunities.

The rooftop lounge was absolutely amazing. We got an igloo and the service there from Maria their marketing coordinator to the staff was top notch. I proposed to my girlfriend and they were so accommodating and helpful the whole night. I highly recommend checking this place out for the vibe, experience, service, and views. Love this place and definitely will make a point to go back.

Our experience was phenomenal and the staff/management were VERY supportive and accommodating. We were celebrating my sisterās birthday and decided to give Godfrey another chance. The servicer we had was VERY nice and kept checking on our table throughout our whole stay. My entree dish was missing chicken and she had a new one remade while also offering us free champagne for our whole group for the inconvenience. The food could have been a little bit better considering the price we paid but it was still edible. I ended up taking my entree home and when I asked for a plastic bag was told they ā ran out of bagsā how does a well established restaurant in River North run out of basic necessities like plastic bags. I still would DEFINITELY recommend to anyone looking for a great place with great vibes and amazing views just remember to bring your own plastic bags if you plan on taking your food home.

FULL REVIEW: My review seems to be on par with others that I just read where certain guest are treated differently than others. I went to the rooftop lounge last night. It was very slow; almost empty. There were 5 people at the bar. I walk up and the bartender did everything he could do not to acknowledge me or provide service. He eventually went to the corner and stood near the service station doing nothing. The guest next to me was so uncomfortable that he offered to wave him down. At this point, I wanted to see how blatantly rude this stranger was going to be. I had to ask another guest to look at their menu. Finally the second bartender who was doing service came up and asked for my order. Two minutes later a group of gentleman came up and the first bartender immediately greeted them and took their order. Then another guest to my right came and to take his order he would have to pass me. By this point I had a glass of wine in my hand and was waiting for another item. IO is free to check their camera last night. Is this the behavior that you are proud to display? No wonder it was empty.

Cocktails were beautiful and delicious... avocado toast with smoked salmon, perfect afternoon snack... however, music was far too loud for 3 o'clock in the afternoon... I felt like I was at a club without any clubbing really happening... visually very cool...

I visited this rooftop in Chicago on September 13, and unfortunately the service was extremely disappointing. Despite the nice setting, the staff seemed really rude and overly serious for no reason. Honestly tbe view wasnāt enough to make up for the lack of basic hospitality. The host sat us at a booth and our server heckled us with questions if we were going to order multiple times when me and my partner have no been there for more than 10 mins. All she was worried about was us ordering food besides being so blunt. She ended up asking if we were going to leave or not since weāre not ordering food. So rude. Donāt waste your time go somewhere else thereās a bunch of beautiful rooftops in Chicago with way better service!!!
