Our staff holds our annual party on the Island Party Hut Boat and always have an amazing time. The Captain and his team are very attentive, friendly and professional.

I'm not going to post anything about the food because we didn't purchase any, however this post is strictly about their weak pre mixed drinks. We ordered the Margaritas and they came straight out the fountain with a fresh cut wedge of lime. It was more like limeade, tasted no alcohol at all. Sixteen dollars apiece for some damn limeade, my advice, bring liquor with you if at all possible, juice is $5.00. I understand overhead, but at least give people something more than you're presently giving them. I'll know next time, bring a flask.

Absolutely love this fun venue right on the famous Chicago Riverwalk. We have been coming here for years and I have to post a review now because they have done so many wonderful renovations to the entire Island Party Hut area. They have upgraded their bars as well as the location to purchase tickets for their Tiki boat cruise. We were here on a Friday afternoon and we had so much fun. Danny at the bar was welcoming and made us really great cocktails. Lots of food to pick from. They have lots more seating, some in the shade and some in the sun. They also have Baggo and lawn toss games.

The food is terrible. Tastes like gas station food but 3X the price.

They had a dj, the music and the vibe was great. However, the food is pricey and not the best. It's basically frozen food that you buy at your grocery store, they Just heat it up. The salsa is the jarred stuff and and chips were stale. Go for the music but eat somewhere else, maybe go for the drinks too, the Paloma was not bad.

1st multi day trip in Chicago. Took the boat ride with Bartender Ben (tier one. Made it the best experience..) , Deckhand Randy, and Niko also absolutely amazing. Well educated and welcoming. So much that we booked a 2nd ride nack to back.
The hope was to ride with them again, but unfortunately we wouldve had to overpay through a 3rd party vendor. 3nd boat ride was just meh. Grumpy bartender. Shawn did his best. Didn't see much other staff.

The counter service was fast and easy, the vibes and games were great, and the prices were what you expect for the riverwalk ($18 for shrimp tacos)

I finally tried this place after being in Chicago for many years and it was worth it. The place gives a different vibe like you are somewhere in a tropical place( to some level) . There was live music, you can see the river and boats in the background. The food and drinks we ordered were good.

We went on the Wednesday night R&b cruise and it was AMAZING! A great way to see Chicago while jamming and having some delicious drinks! The workers were so sweet and bartender Q was a wholeeee vibe!!!

This place was a complete disaster from start to finish. I was served cold food, asked for a replacement, and they brought out the same cold plate like I wouldn’t notice. As you can see in my photos it went from day to night outside! Not once did anyone apologize. The staff was straight-up rude, dismissive, and wouldn’t even look me in the face while I was trying to explain the issue.

The manager told me he’d refund my $19 and would “be right back.” I waited almost 45 minutes….he never returned!
I had to go find him myself, just for him to casually say the refund would take 1–2 business days. That would’ve been fine if he had actually communicated that up front, but he didn’t.

The entire experience was unprofessional and frustrating. No apology. No accountability. Just a bunch of people acting like paying customers are a burden. I work too hard to waste my money in a place like this.

Do yourself a favor and skip Island Party Hut. The stuff is absolutely DISGUSTING!.
