Table for 3 Supper on a Sunday night. The atmosphere and ambiance of the place did give off nice Italian vibes. A comfortable, dim, lighting. The menu offered lots of choices. We opted for a Fettuccini Alfredo with grilled chicken, a Spaghetti with meat sauce, and a thin crust Pizza with pepperoni, bacon, and sausage. My son thoroughly enjoyed the Fettuccini. Great sauce flavor. Chicken was done great. The Spaghetti ordered by my other son was pretty good. He's a huge spaghetti fan, and said while it was nice it just missed a little something in the sauce. The pizza was a traditional thin crust. This was done very well. Crispy bottom with a great sauce base that didn't soak through. The topping were generous but didn't over crowd. great tasting toppings. Loved the cup pepperoni. Good sauce to toppings to cheese ratio. We really enjoyed Chicago's Oldest Italian Restaurant and will definitely be back.

Have gone here for many years..we were just here in October. We went March 1. The bread was stale. The portions are much smaller since October. The food was good as always. Service was great.

We had an amazing meal. Pizza bread was a hit. Lasagna was some of the best I have had. One of the best tiramisus I have ever had.

A great place to eat. The atmosphere was intimate and friendly. The pasta was first-rate. The flavor profile was balanced really nicely. I would recommend and will come back.

I popped into The Village in downtown Chicago expecting a classic old-school Italian spot — and that’s exactly what I got in the best way possible. This place feels like stepping into Chicago history with its cozy, twinkling lights and rich red-sauce classics that have been done right for generations. I ordered a hearty pasta and a glass of wine from their huge list, and everything hit with comforting, familiar flavors that made it clear why locals keep coming back. The vibe is lively without being loud, full of families, groups, and couples enjoying good food and conversation. It’s not flashy, but if you’re craving solid Italian-American dishes and a warm, timeless atmosphere, this place delivers.

Ordered take out.
Spaghetti and Meatballs with Vodka sauce was really good.
The pasta was cooked to perfection and the Vodka sauce was stupendous! Wasn't much of a fan of the meatballs. But it was all great overall. I would come here again but dine in.
I recommend it.

I would not recommend this place. The food was subpar for the prices, we had to keep asking for refills and extras on multiple occasions and we had to send one of the dishes back because it was inedible (so salty!). We will not return.

we had a party of 20 for a surprise birthday party. We were in a private room that was suggested by the staff when booking. The service was attentive and the food was delicious. Highly recommend!
