Food is top tier. Dessert is the best thing on the menu. Compliments to the Pastry Chef. The service and ambiance was also top tier. The wait staff were very accommodating as well.

Wife & I recently visited Chicago and heard great things about Ithaki. The team here delivered on all fronts. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the food, drinks and great hospitality delivered from Thanos & his team behind the bar.

The food, drinks, and the vibe were fantastic. Service was outstanding. Maria F made the perfect recommendations and had the right amount of attentiveness even though the restaurant was packed. When I asked about allergy ingredients, she brought the person who made the food out to provide additional comfort. Thanks for an amazing experience Maria!

Ithaki is an incredible spot in Chicago’s Greek Town. The atmosphere is beautiful and welcoming, the food is fresh and full of authentic Greek flavor, and the seafood is outstanding. The service was attentive and friendly without feeling rushed. Perfect for a special night out or a great dinner with friends. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return.

2026-02-27 update - off-menu wood roasted mushrooms are gone but the loukoumades balls are very good, especially when dipped in Greek coffee, which is now available. Looking forward to bringing in family. Prior review:
Atmosphere: airy with buzzy crowds on Fridays. The interior elicits the impression of dining al fresco. I read that was the intent, and it succeeds in implementation. Hope to someday visit while live Greek music plays.
Service: consistently, earnestly gracious, thoughtful, conversational and considerate. In other words, good service is important here.
Food: excellent. Looking forward to loukoumades and, perhaps in the future, Greek coffee. Until then, the wood roasted octopus leg is superb, the off-menu wood roasted mushrooms -- sourced from a team of DePaul grads! -- with lemon make a fantastic vegetarian substitute for it, the meaty, mild saganaki is more substantial than the competition, the comforting youvetsi conveniently presents gentle lamb with orzo, and the tangy lemon possets' lemon custard, topped like potato skins with hardened, caramelized sugar and garnished with edible flowers, presents enough colorful and textured components to make this diner imagine gently moving them around like a playful interior designer. (To any wondering reader, that's a compliment; food _should_ be fun.)

I love stopping by Ithaki after a work day for their Happy Hour and have brought friends here for dinner. Food is spot on (octopus, saganaki and the oysters were amazing) and the Santorini Garden cocktail is addictive! Right as you walk in you feel transported into Greece and forget you’re in the heart of Chicago. I’m not a huge white wine drinker but tried some of the Greek wine on the menu and I can say I found a new appreciation for white wine. Will be back!

Beautifully decorated new Greek restaurant in Chicago's Greektown. Limited menu compared to other Greek restaurants but still a variety. Delicious food and large portion. Staff were very attentive. I enjoyed the experience with my friends.
Restaurantji Recommends
Our server had no knowledge of Greek wines and recommended a french wine which we felt was wrong in a Greek restaurant where the wines are fabulous. It seemed that there are no Greeks working there. The music was also not Greek music. We like to go to a restaurant where we feel at home as we are Greek Americans. I am curious if the owner is even Greek? I didn't ask but I did meet the manager who wasn't Greeek. The service was attentive but I felt like the way some of the dishes were described that the staff had no idea what it was or tasted like.
Valentines dinner. Arrived 7pm and left 9:30pm after other tables turned for a second time. Layne was our server and was absent most of the time. Entrees in error twice; first brought main entree while forgetting starter then missed another entree altogether. Didn't even know until we told management and were credited $25. Management nonchalant about the issue. Never complain about issues like this but absolutely the worst service in a long time. Would recommend that you spend your money elsewhere.
Easily some of the best Greek food I've ever had. A worthy addition to GreekTown and I hope it's there for decades like Parthenon was. The vibes, service, food is all peak Greektown but in a modern presentation and style. I will be back.
