As a person who has eaten 250+ gyros in my lifetime, this place rewired my brain chemistry. I was confused looking at their menu wondering why they only had chicken or pork belly gyros. I thought maybe this place was just trying to be trendy and different, but Greek-inspired interior didn't really match that vibe. We tried the tzatziki, saganaki and chicken kabob which were all very good. However, we also tried the pork belly gyro stuffed with fries and it was one of the best things I've eaten in Chicago. I cannot stop thinking about how good it was. My mind was blown. I ordered another one to make sure it wasn't some anomaly (they also are similarly sized to a half of a sandwich). I don't ever want to eat a lamb gyro ever again. This place is a must try.

Our first dining experience at It's Greek 2 U was a pure delight! Thankfully we made a reservation as this small restaurant was packed on Saturday. Ambiance is warm and welcoming--when we arrived there were already several large parties dining. Aldo, our server, was gracious and attentive. Food was fresh and perfectly seasoned. Had the date/walnut/feta salad along with the saganaki--delicious! All the entrees were excellent. Amazed the staff and chef brought out the food in a seamless manner. On our list of must-go-back restaurants.

The service was not great, but the food was truly amazing. They forgot our drinks (for the entire meal) and brought the wrong entree for one of the two entrees. The entrees were also very slow. We came at a slow time (3pm) so not sure what the issues were.

This is one of the best Greek restaurants I’ve ever been to in Chicago! The food is great, the owner runs the show, very friendly lady. The lamb chops, the Greek salad and the combo platter are amazing.
Soup, salad, and shrimp pita sandwich tasted yummy & freshly prepared. Restaurant was quite full & lively on a Saturday night. Owner Vicki was accommodating and warm.

not great. I will not go back, ever. go to Crossroads in Evanston , it's far better. weird & slow service. human adding machine made an error on the bill, I was overcharged, but I just wanted to leave.
We usually like eating here. Sat down this evening and it’s seat your self style. After we sat down, we were asked to move as the waitress said our table was now reserved. That is not how open seating works. If you took a reservation, there are plenty of other tables that party can sit at. The server did not get it, so we left and went some where else. I told the owner, who didn’t care and was clearly very disorganized. You lost a customer tonight.
