Old fashioned hot dog and broasted chicken joint. Operating under the same family owners for over 70 years, Jake’s is an Uptown institution. Best known for its colorful window graphics (“Only a rooster can get a better piece of chicken”), it has limited seating, lots of carry out, and delivery through the usual services. Broasted chicken is its signature meal—not the usual fried chicken (made in a deep fat fryer) which you can find at any number of national chains, instead...
I love this place. Their chicken and shakes are to die for, and every time I walk in Im able to find a table to sit and eat. The people at the register are so kind and friendly, and they always make sure I have everything I need. THANK YOU JAKE’S 🙌 🩷😊
We had gyros, italian beef, and horchata for lunch. All were amazing. Then, we decided to order soft serve too which is bigger than my face. It was very yummy as well.
The servings are really huge for what it’s worth. The service is good too ?
