We were seated very quickly, despite there being a bit of a line when we walked up. The place was full, but service was very quick and attentive. Lots of families enjoying breakfast. Breakfast was tasty. Good coffee.

Ive decided to leave one star due to the 18% added charge for more than 5 people, which is another name for forced gratuity, gratuities are earned and not taken by the establishment because they say they did good
The food was okay nothing special. I don't recommend the corned beef hash, it's canned and not worth it.

Stopped for breakfast. Great place to go. The food is delicious for and was served quickly. I had the eggs and polish sausage. My husband had the eggs with skirt steak. The staff is excellent and very friendly. The owner, Filipa, was absolutely wonderful. We had the nicest conversation with her. Definitely will be going back!!! Thank you for the great breakfast and conversation!

Our new favorite brunch spot! This is a place where the food is made with love - big portions of tasty food with the kindest people. I get the Latin Benedict and the plantains taste soooooo good:)
Had super delicious, fresh tacos, absolutely loved it! Definitely coming back.

What a great family place. Discovered best experience eating fresh TACOS 🌮. Asked for Gluten Free and real eggs Mexicans style with chilies 🌶️. They are best we found in Chicago.
Good breakfast. Portions are large. I had a yogurt parfait with granola and fruit and coffee.Others had omelet and cappuccino, and eggs with tortillas. All very good. Friendly service. I recommend.
Nice service and great food.Near the center, picturesque and authentic neighborhood. This place is highly recommended, we had great breakfast and we were also very well served, smiling and attentive. If you come to Chicago, do not miss this.

Finally a fabulous Breakfast &Lunch cafe that is owner operated and open 7 am til 2:30 , 7 days a week! Owner operated as the owner is there everyday. Best service experience by Sebastian . I had a pancake with two over medium eggs on top, ginger lemon tea with honey this morning. I was here last night and had their Signature Fresh Chicken Lemon soup. Organic and original . Taco, burritos and fresh salads, sandwiches and so much more for lunch. Favorite restaurant in Chicago!!! ❤️

We had a great experience at Janik’s. We went on a Saturday morning and got great service. We were seated immediately outside. The server even went out of their way to bring the coffee bag out so I could see what kind it was after I asked about it. Food was great and well-priced. We’d definitely come back!
