Glad we finally tried this place after seeing it on check, please. Cute, cozy atmosphere. Our main waiter took our order & we didn’t really see him again but the other wait staff were nice & helpful. Food was solid. I enjoyed the ham they used in the eggs Benedict & I like my griddled pancake. The gravy for the biscuits & gravy was decent but a bit salty & I wasn’t a fan of the biscuit they used. I’mGlad I ordered it as a side rather than the main dish. I ordered decaf coffee & didn’t get it til halfway through the meal. Street parking was free on Sunday which was nice.

Cozy mom & pop brunch spot serving delicious items. Service was great & attentive. The food was excellent & exactly what we needed. Pricing is good & portions were fantastic. Highly recommend the crab cake eggs Benedict, & chorizo omelette & burrito.

Thanks for a great breakfast. The food was delish, fresh, and I love the red potatoes. As a 90s baby I love the red cups , 90s music and homey feeling and inviting colors inside. This is a no frills, homey vibe family restaurant and it’s exactly what you want for a breakfast spot. Love the big coffee cups for the latte and how everything was served at the perfect temperature too!Wheelchair accessibility: Okay I’m thinking a lot of these tables are pretty good for wheelchair accessibility. Plenty of room and I don’t see any steps. There is a windbreaker entry vestibule at the front entrance though so you will have to turn 1 corner in order to enter.

Super cute spot! You can tell this is a mom and pop ran diner which gives me all the good feels. They have a fairly good amount of seating but have heard they do get busy on weekends. We went on a Monday for brunch so didn't have to wait at all. Everyone was helpful and the food was delicious! They have a bit of everything but everyone enjoyed their meals which was great!

Perfect place to start your day, the service is quick and efficient, the menu has many options from bennys to something sweet or spicy, the prices are very friendly, the design is simple but has a personal touch. I got benny with turkey sausage and breakfast potato - very delicious!

The Chicken Lime soup doesn't disappoint. The rave is real, get yourself a bowl. I also tried the chicken tinga burrito, it was delicious and worth a try with their salsa verde. I appreciated that the burrito was nicely tosted, and it felt light on my stomach. The service was fast and the food was great. I had my meal around 8:30 am, so the place wasn't so full. The atmosphere is modern but cozy in a non-intimidating way. Janik's Cafe is for everyone, go grab a bite, you'll feel at home.

Wow, all I can say is wow!!!I came to this restaurant with my family after church, and we did not expect it to be this good!We ordered coffee, which had a great taste ! Then, for my breakfast, I ordered chicken and waffles, which you know was good because the chicken and waffles needed no ketchup or syrup. If you are in the city and in the mood for breakfast, come to this great place !!

The croissant with nutela is delicious, and even more so because it has a kind of Bavarian Cream. The menu options are extensive and have a wide variety of drinks. Relatively affordable prices. The place is large, but it can get crowded and there is a line. The chilaquiles are good, but without pain or glory. The French bread, very good. You get the vibe that it's a family-friendly, community-supported place (I liked the message they have in the bathroom about supporting small businesses). Bathrooms are limited. The service is fast. The eggs Benedict left something to be desired over the cappuccino, nothing out of the ordinary, but overall a good option for a family lunch or with friends.Vegetarian options: There are several options for vegetarians.

Great brunch option for well executed diner favorites. This is a great place for people who don't want fancy brunch options, but solid classics. Will definitely return to try the Mexican breakfast options.

Wonderful, welcoming staff who remember me. The salad was fresh and crispy. The single serving of biscuits and gravy was generous. I only wish it was available all day. Seating is at a comfortable distance for easy conversation. The weekend crowd can make for some waiting time, but service is good even when busy. Nice outdoor dining area on somewhat noisy street.

This was my second visit to Janik’s and I was less impressed this time around. In summer the outdoor seating was lovely. Indoor seating is kinda drab. For the food, we all got veggie dishes (Latin veggie bowl, veggie omelet, veggie breakfast bowl) and they are generous with veggies which is nice. Lots of places are skimpy with veggies. The bad is that it was kinda bland. My breakfast bowl hash came with black beans and as you can see in the picture it was like 25 black beans. My dish was just kinda greasy and bland. Would not recommend. The Latin veggie bowl on the other hand had stewed black beans that were delicious and very flavorful. The huevos rancheros looked great! The service was fast, a little strange though. The waitress made comments to us like “you look like the kinda people that would eat veggies”. Uhhh thanks? And then was very apprehensive to give us an extra serving of salsa. Went as far as offering my finances salsa from his dish to his dad without asking?? Just upcharge if you don’t want to give us salsa for free but don’t be weird about it!

Good food and good service. Nothing to complain about here. I had the Greek Chicken Sandwich and I would recommend it.
