Beautiful Spot! So glad I finally got to stop in. It was really packed when we went, but the service was great. The flavors that I got definitely missed the mark and I wish I got/had more time to taste them before ordering, but I didn’t want to hold the line up.

$9.58 for SINGLE scoop waffle cone and that is not including a tip. Why would anyone tip someone to scoop ice cream lol. Just press the no tip button guys, it’s okay! Do they put salt on their waffle cones? It was overdosed with salt (just checked their website) Yikes. Waffle cone + vanilla bean = diabetes. The guy working today — the one who looks like Mexican has 0 social skills and customer skills. They should shut down this location. It’s so trash

Run, don't walk, to get ice cream at Jeni's! They don't have a ton of flavors, but every flavor I've tried is absolutely incredible. You can get a standard (two flavors) or signature (three flavors) in a dish or one of their delicious waffle cones. I ordered a cone with the salted peanut butter, with chocolate flecks, brown butter almond brittle, and gooey butter cake. All were excellent, but the stand out flavors were the peanut butter and almond brittle--we even bought a pint of the peanut butter to go! This is very high quality ice cream that is well worth a visit!

Ice cream was good, I can't give it a higher rating because I hate those cash registers they flip around and make you select a tip in front of the cashier. Especially when the ice cream is $15 and the store wants a $3.50 tip. It makes me feel cheap if I say no tip and leaves a bad taste in my mouth (unlike the ice cream). The owners should just pay more rather than make customers pay salaries both in the price and via a 25% tip.

Had a wonderful experience at Ice Cream for Breakfast! The Andersonville scoop shoppe did an excellent job of organizing the lines, handing out menus and letting us sample the new flavors. I had Breakfast Blend that consisted of Banana French Toast, Coffee with Cream & Sugar and Caramel Pecan Sticky Buns. This was a great combo and all the flavors mixed perfectly. The store itself is simple and fun. Some options for buying pints and other merchandise is nice. Will be back more!

We've been to Jeni's twice. We really enjoyed their vegan ice cream, and I don't like ice cream, so that tells you something. Really incredible flavors, but we wish the portions were bigger and that there were more than 2 options to choose from, like 5 would be nice. We will be back though..

Excellent. Service a bit slow. I don't think anyone thought it would be that busy.

Taste my new favorite ice creams -- Brambleberry Crisp, Darkest Chocolate, Salty Caramel, Brown Butter Almond Brittle, Skillet Cinnamon Roll, Gooey Butter Cake and Pineapple Upside Down Cake -- from Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams at 1419 North Wells Street in Chicago's Old Town neighborhood. My wife and I can't get enough of the non-traditional, non-conventional, uniquely smooth texture and buttercream body of James Beard Award-winning ice cream maker Jeni Britton's products that feature a bright flavor and clean finish. For years, we have enjoyed Kilwin's ice creams, especially toasted coconut, butter pecan, chocolate chip cookie dough, cookies and cream and peach, but Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams offer a variety of distinctly different flavors. No vanilla or chocolate or strawberry here. There are eight other locations in Chicago -- 908 West Randolph, 871 North Wabash, 400 West Armitage, 1505 North Milwaukee, 3404 North Southport, 2512 North Milwaukee, 3657 North Clark and 5306 North Clark. Founded in 2002 in Columbus, Ohio, Jeni's is setting a new standard by which all other ice creams are judged.

Jeni’s is a really good ice cream shop!!I love the fun decorations and all the happiness!!The only thing is this place’s prices are higher and I would suggest coming here for the unique flavors!Ice cream is delicious though!?Kid-friendliness: I go here occasionally with my brother! Very kid friendly and they have a spot if you brought a doll to give them it’s own seat!?

So I had high hope. Interesting flavours and all. Good reviews. I went and the best part was the waffle. I don't know if something was wrong but the ice cream was served way to cold and icey. The flavours thus disappeared completely and had to hack my way through it. The structure of the ice cream was so off and even as it got softer it had a very strange texture. The blackberry I had I think it was was poorly balanced in flavour when I finally could taste it. Since I love ice cream I usually find that most I can enjoy but this I hardly wanted to finish. Gonna check out other places. Service was excellent though so three stars overall.

You can find Jeni's ice cream all over Chicago. Its rich, creamy vegan ice cream will have you asking yourself.... How is this possible??? Ice Cream: This is a dream come true! I can finally enjoy ice cream without the dairy! I'm in heaven! This being my first time enjoying vegan ice cream I tried every flavor before ordering the wild berry lavender and lemon bar. The texture of the ice cream is spot-on! It's creamy, rich, and not overly sweet or tart. Service: The ice cream here is a little pricey. But it was worth it. My friend and I ordered 2 scoops of ice cream and hers came out twice the size of mine. I pointed out the difference in serving size, and the cashier happily re-made my order. Ambiance: When you walk in you have a feeling of nostalgia. Crisp white walls and pops of color. Made me feel like a kid in a candy store. Overall: Family-friendly Vegan Ice Cream Cheerful environment Friendly service It's expensive ice cream Small serving size Addictive

Yesterday, we went for a short walk around our neighborhood, and my wife took me for ice cream. This location was empty, so we had the leisure of taking our time to choose the flavor we wanted. We each had two scoops. My wife had hers on a cone and chose the cup. The young lady was very nice and gave me a cracker because I asked for peanuts, but due to allergy, they don't serve ice cream with any nuts. I had the boozy egg nog and chocolate scoops. Which was delicious, and my wife loved hers, too. The only problem was the scoop sizes and the very high prices. I just don't understand how a family with kids can afford these prices. I don't think they will last in this neighborhood.
