This is like my second time coming here, but I hate that there’s never anybody at the counter. It’s like one person is running the whole restaurant orders are never ready when they tell you even if you’re doing a delivery what’s the point do better?

I ordered the lunch special catfish and fries for $9.99 with a side of dressing my total was $17 .. they gave me one piece of catfish and dressing on the side w no fries

They mix neck bones in with your ox tails. I provided a picture below. That is NOT an ox tail. Ox tails have meat all around the bone, there is NO FLAT SIDE to an OX TAIL. That is a neck bone. They charged me over $20 for this......I can get 2 packs of ox tails for $20 !. Im irritated to say the least.

The food was delicious!! I got jerk chicken that comes with beans and rice underneath. I got yams and mashed potatoes on the side, both yummy. I also got banana pudding for dessert. I haven’t tasted it yet but was bummed it wasn’t home made. I asked if it was homemade and was told yes, but I should’ve asked if it was made from scratch because that’s what I was looking for and it wasn’t.
The atmosphere was okay. They have counter top tables along the window/wall and high chairs so you can eat in if you like but no one did while I was there. It took a little while to get the food but definitely worth it. The customer service was really good, very nice ladies!

I got there Saturday night 8/30/25 and saw the sign that said Open but the door was locked. I saw someone in there and signaled to him but he tried to ignore me at first and then he later angrily pointed to the sign as if to say it was Closed, meanwhile the sign said Open. Don't know if he was dumb or couldn't read smh. Do better

I’ve ordered from here about three or four times and the food is always been hot and delicious with bountiful servings. I always get the dark meat jerk chicken and the oxtails. Yams, rice and plantains on the side. Skip the mac & cheese, though unless you’re in the mood for a Caribbean style mac & cheese, which is more a kin to the box stuff rather than the baked mac & cheese that we eat at Thanksgiving. Highly recommended

I ordered from Jerk and Soul Food during happy hour in Door Dash and was impressed by the pricing and portion sizes. I went with the jerk wings and picked candied yams and cabbage as my sides. Everything arrived hot and fresh, and the generous helping even included a bed of rice and peas under the chicken, which was a nice surprise!
The cabbage had great depth of flavor thanks to the seasonings and smoked meat, and the yams were rich and had a really smooth texture. Unfortunately, the wings didn’t quite hit the mark for me. I love spicy food, but the heat overpowered any traditional, smoked jerk flavor I was hoping for as the chicken itself lacked seasoning beyond the sauce.
Even though the wings were a letdown, I can see why the restaurant has so many great reviews. I probably won’t reorder right away, but I’m open to giving them another try.

How can you confirm orders and not be open? We lose out on money waiting for a refund and it’s hard to get that because you never answer the phone.. this is terrible service and the 2nd time that I’ve experienced this with you..
3 times we have ordered and each time they have cancelled the order. One time we had an online order for about $150.00, drove 40 miles to pick up, only to be told when we arrived that there was no more food. The dressing was fire, but they don't have it anymore They don't have mac and cheese Couple of times, no fried chicken I'm done with Jerk n Soul

First time here and I had the jerk chicken dinner with Mac, yams & greens… I didn’t like the greens because they’re too salty for me but everything else were good especially the yams omggggg 🤤

What are you guys doing? I have been a customer since you opened. If you look me up I order at least 3 times a month., January, February 2025. I had to take a couple of months off because of my financial situation but when I was back on my feet I immediately placed an order. No longer are the Collard Greens succulent and delicious, they are chewey and tough, the Yams are dry and not flavorful but plain old sweet potatoes. Stop trying to cut corners to make a profit, if you must raise the price because I’m and I’m sure nobody wants to pay for mediocre food when we have been receiving excellent food. Please, please,, please stop cutting corners and give us what you started with!!!!

best food i had in a while. waited 10 for my food and another 20 to get home and eat it. but it was worth the wait. from yams to greens to the jerk and lovin the pudding. i recommend 100 percent.
