This place is simply amazing, love the food, but could need bathroom expansion.

I visited Jess Cafe in Chicago and was pleasantly surprised by its generous pan-Asian menu offerings; the Korean beef and baked rice bowls stood out as flavorful and filling. The crab rangoon and egg rolls were well-presented and tasty, though I found the spice level inconsistent across different dishes. The atmosphere was casual and friendly, giving the impression of a neighborhood spot where people feel comfortable coming often. Overall, the experience was satisfying and I’d return to try more items.

We ordered from car online and then called to say we wanted to eat in. They were setting our table as we walked in. Waitress checked on us several times. Very attentive. The food was amazing. If you are passing through Chicago or live here it is a must go to place!!

This place is nostalgic for anyone who grew up in the are when it was Tony's Peking Garden, and since it has Jess Cafe it has continued to thrive because of their delicious food, their clean comfortable atmosphere, and their fast professional service.

The vegetable spring rolls with peanut sauce are a light, tasty appetizer. The beef vermicelli noodles are a personal favorite entree, and the menu offers so much more. The quality of the food, the swift service, the fair price point, and the comfortable atmosphere make it clear why Jess Cafe is still going strong.

I've been going here for a couple of years and I keep meaning to write a review. Jess Cafe is my favorite takeout place. The food is always great, the service is always excellent, the portions are generous, the fortune cookies are the good old-school kinds with fun fortunes and no bitcoin advertisements. Every time I order from here I'm impressed by their attention to little details, like leaving the lids off fried food in takeout orders so it doesn't get soggy, or wrapping up my favorite mapo tofu extra carefully so that it doesn't spill everywhere. They're the one takeout place that I know the food will be ready on time, piping hot when you pick it up, and still delicious by the time you get it home. They even pulled this off on Christmas Day when they were absolutely *slammed*, it was amazing!

Ordered Delivery . Was Worried About Food Being Good. It Was Great. The Old Fashioned Big Perfect Egg Rolls Were A Great Start
The Food Was Hot And On Time. Perfect

They never change the gloves they wear after handling money, handle food with same gloves. That is highly unsanitary.

I called for pickup and unfortunately the individual answering the phone didn’t actually place my order despite telling me my order would be ready in 15-20 minutes. I arrived 25 minutes after the call and came to find out my order hadn’t even been sent to the kitchen. I had to wait an additional 20 minutes for my food despite seeing numerous people arrive and pick their food up promptly. I’ve been frequenting this establishment for 5 years but I can’t support a place that doesn’t value their customers time.

I ordered California Benedict, and they’re horrible. The eggs are so hard that it doesn’t make sense for this type of breakfast (and I hate hard eggs 😭), and the sauce…I don’t even know how to explain this. I also can't understand how you can mess up French toast; they are so dry that they should be called cinnamon toast instead 😭😭

You guys need someone else answering the phone, lost a 10 year customer today because your employee can't greet customers on the phone properly, very rude
