Came here around 1pm on a Sunday. Came because I heard good things about this restaurant in regards of the food, tortillas made by hand, and the service. Sucks to say otherwise. Food was not that great. Asked for costillas de res en salsa verde...only got like 5 pieces with 1 huge bone....tortillas were like pita bread. my family got tacos, torta, and quesadilla, not the best. Service: Mediocre for a small place. Not even welcoming. The most unbelievable part is they Force you to tip without telling you. Bill said "customized item". Asked what that was for and they mentioned "it is for the tip". I get most places advise you beforehand but this place never did.

I liked doing a 2-for-1 by hitting up El Remate across the street and then getting food here with my friend. My food was delicious so I hoovered it up, but we had to leave to pick up my kid from school so we had to box up most of what my friend ordered. I hope the staff didn't think we disliked the food, it was fantastic! If I lived closer this would be my new weekend outing.
I used to do that for Village Discount Outlet and Turbo Tacos, but the latter got shut down by gentrification. It was a bummer because I had been doing that since before 2015 and the owner got to see my family grow over the years. It would be nice to be a regular at some place like that again, and hopefully this can fill that void. I just wish they served flautas, because that's what I always got at Turbo.
Kid-friendliness: I had a 3 month old with me, I was able to discretely breast feed him while having my meal without any issues. Thanks for being kid friendly!

Small place but the amount of deliciousness is huge! 1st time trying the food with my family (2 adults &3 kids all under 10) and they all loved it! Will be back soon! Just suggest they put some blinds on the windows for the summer because sun burns through the windows. Recommended 100% ????
Kid-friendliness: They have French fries and burgers which are what my kids love!

Some of the best birria in town! Good prices and the food is delicious. They make their own corn tortillas and even big tortillas for quesadillas. I don't know of any other place that makes huge tortillas that size. A plus for gluten free options. A must try if you're in the neighborhood.
Vegetarian options: They serve huitlacoche. A mushroom type fungus that grows on corn.
Recommended dishes: Quesadillas De Queso
Customer service was good I ordered a birria taco and this was it. Although it was meaty. I wasn’t expecting lamb meat. I was assuming it was made with beef, they didn’t have any options
Good food
