Iconic!! Came here in 2009. Great food at a great price! If you come to Chicago, you have to try Jim’s!!
Super fast fresh hot food. Always have to make a stop here, can't pass up on The Maxwell street polish. Love this place.
The way to order here is exceptional, that way I can keep an eye on potential food allergies by using the computer they have. The staff there asked questions about my order which made me feel at home. Kudos!
Parking: There are free spots available at the location, plus paid parking (as far as I can tell) down the street.

Vegetarian options: No real vegetarian options; fries, drinks, and other side menu items only
Kid-friendliness: Kid-friendly menu options, consistent "safe" foods can be comforting to kids with sensory needs
Wheelchair accessibility: Appears fairly excellent and dine-in accessible.
Drive through available.
Parking lot has a lot of space to maneuver out of a car with a wheelchair, even in the non handicap parking space.
Wide entryway, clearly marked accessible. Manual open, non-automatic.
Bathroom doors also wide and accessible. Also manual and non-automatic.
Door weight and hinges pretty standardized, not too heavy. Room to turn and maneuver into handicap stall, no obstructions.
Restaurant floor space is very roomy.
One low wheelchair table available indoors, remainder of seating is barstool style along the walls. Stools are generally pushed in under the table surface and out of the way, but plenty of space even when all stools are occupied (which they typically are not).
Outdoor seating is all wheelchair accessible (same height as the indoor low table).
Dine-in orders come with trays. Tray of food is light enough to support with one hand.
Ordering window is low enough to be accessible.
Fountain drinks are set a little high. May need to reach or get some help from staff. Staff should be fairly available. Otherwise, canned soda and bottled water are also available. Straws available.
Only issue is the ramp up the curb is a little narrow and not a curb cut. The outdoor seating table might be set too close to the ramp. You may need to shove it around a bit if that happens.

Nothing fancy but clean and friendly staff with good affordable food. Pork chop sandwich was tasty and was the best polish dog I’ve had in Chi. Fries were good and plentiful too. Not going to wow you with the presentation but flavor and taste were great.

Decent Beef Polish with French Fries. Service is quick. Typical Chicago Style Polish Hot Dog!

Delicious food. We had the pork chop sandwich and the Polish sausage, and both were great. The service was quick + great value. The interior is fine & clean, but more of a takeout/eat-in-car place really.
